Just picked one up from Officeworks Morley WA. Stock of both silver and space grey in various stores. Can try the 2 hour delivery (free until 30 June) where they hand it off to a DoorDash driver to deliver but it didn’t work for me so I had to head in-store.
M1 pro version is better in terms of value for money.

Yes it is. And apart from being slightly heavier and the screen being a bit smaller, there are many features of the m1 pro 14 inch that are superior to the 15 inch macbook air. If you need the processing power of course the m2 chp will be better but not by a lot.
If you need processing power M1 Pro is definitely more powerful than M2, go look at the benchmarks. Plus it has fans so it won’t throttle as much as the fanless M2. Also why did you neg the deal?

originally it think 3k but it was always at office works for around $2.6k, new M2 update is $3,200 from apple

It's a very good price for a near perfect computer. But it's a part of Apples near perfect pricing ladder so a lot of people get tempted up down left and right.

Thank you so much misterchan for sharing this. I have picked up MacBook Pro 14'' M1 Pro today (from Liverpool Officeworks) after looking at this deal. Best part is I got this laptop for $2000 :) as it was last one on clearance and it was supposed to be display model.
