Please note that placing the kettle on rough or unclean surfaces, as well as normal daily use on cooktops especially gas, will damage finish on bottom of kettle. This is normal wear and does not affect functionality.
Was given this as a gift, liked the pleasing freight train style whistle.
Sadly, the whistle stopped after a month or so.
Warranty replacement was sent, but same thing happened in a month or two.
No visible issue, no hard water here, so I couldn't work out what went wrong.
