This makes me glad - the more people with PS5 the more that game studios will focus on "next gen" games
Does anyone else feel this generational leap has been a slight let down? Or at least hampered by the release of mid-gen updates? Playing RDR2 on Xbox one X in 2017 isn't all that different to current gen experience in my opinion. I just bought a nice new TV with 4K 144hz capability to truly feel the next-gen (current gen) experience and was massively disappointed at the limited titles that can actually do 4k 120. Like how the hell is rocket league only 2688x1512 when in 120hz mode?
Would it be good to see a mid-gen update soon where we can get insane visuals at on single player titles and true 4k 120fps on multiplayer?
You're not going to suddenly get more games that can do native 4k at 120 fps if they are built only for this gen. The hardware simply isn't capable of it.
I'm not even aware of any titles doing native 4k 120 at the moment. They all seem to be upscaled (dynamic) rather than native.
I said I'm pretty disappointed at current gen performance and a mid-gen update (ps5 pro) would make it capable of doing 4k 120.
You're not getting true 4k120hz on consoles either way. RDR2 still does not achieve that even with top of the line hardware (e.g. RTX 4090 at 2.8k alone) on PC.
But will then xbox drop to these prices?? That's what I'm waiting for..still on my one S

I bought one 8 minutes ago and it showed up straight away under purchases. It said Unpaid Order processing for a few minutes then changed to awaiting postage. I also received the order confirmation from ebay.

idk if slim is going to be a thing, because the ps5 is the size it is for airflow reasons.
Other than ray tracing. I couldn't see what a pro would offer over the current ps5 this early into it's release for a majority of people.
8k is not widely used for televisions to warrant an upgrade, 120hz would be cool but doesn't add enough of a benefit and again not widely available on TVs.
Oh bugger. Missed out on this deal as well the last Gamesmen one. Here's hoping it won't be too long before other retailers have the PS5 available at a similar price point.
even if pro or slim is out, they'd be close to rrp. if ps5 is low, take it. i don't even care about slim or not. for pro, depends on the upgrades. saying that i haven't bought one.
