After owned a 21:9 FHD monitor, I preferred 32" now but 21:9 gaming is very good.

Lucifer messaged, says he doesn't think you deserve it. You ain't man/woman enough to proceed with the order.

        • By any chance does he also go by the name Samsung and tempt your wallet into dark deeds? 😅

@Hall-fg: No. You might be as suprised as me. He goes by the name Nigel and works with H&R Block as a side hustle.

Be a man, do the right thing

    • I couldn’t resist even though I don’t really need it.

    • Are you kidding me. I was searching on ebay for this model last midnight and bought the cheapest one with the $60 coupon for $475 (no ebay plus, no express shipping) and it was shipped today. Now computer alliance and scorptec have put up their listing today, how unfortunate. Patience would’ve paid off.

        Always the way!

    • The 20% coupon expired as expected yesterday sadly (said in terms and conditions of service)

any 34-40" ultrawide recommendation for a hybrid (gaming + office) setup with a budget under $1000?

so far this has caught my eye https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B087TWDMPG/ref=ox_sc_ac…

just FYI this uses an absolutely ancient panel, which means black smearing hell.

you're much better off spending veeeeery slightly more on the Dell or AOC G3S.

  • why not just change the model to G5P07!!!1111 would probably sell better

Stand is fixed and not adjustable. Think twice, I regret buying it.

    • Monitor mount?

    • +1

Same thing happened to me. Thought was adjustable and now have to splurge another 100 for a monitor arm

      • Gas lift monitor arms come up here on OzB all the time for ~30. You don't need to spend 100 and you'll save a bunch of desk space in the process.

        • Yeah you are right that there’s one for about $30 but they only support up to 27 inch. For a 34 inch, especially one with a 1000R curve, you want something beefier.

  • this vs previous Dell G3223Q deal?

    for gaming and productivity.

      Neither.

      • -2

The answer is genuinely neither: both have awful response times for the task, there are and will be better priced options over the coming sales period. Thanks for scrolling past one of my comments then shallowly reading another to downvote…

Go to the underpass after midnight and ask for the man known as Muzeeb, he will show you the way

      • He just started to make clicking noises?

    • G3223Q

    • you are comparing oranges to apples (21:9 vs 16:9)

  • ok for productivity and general work? no gaming

    • Have this monitor and use it for work etc, no gaming. Very happy with it. Also as above, best to also use with a gas lift monitor arm.

    Told Sam not to sing.
    Sam still sung.

  • Why the screen is bent?

    • Because your eyesight is bent.

  • If you have a Samsung education/gov account you can get it for $429 (after $50 sub voucher)

  • VA

    • I actually have a hard time finding IPS panel ultrawides that are affordable for me (haven't actually noticed any as I have only been looking at budget ultrawides, except the LG ones but those are 1080p). But definitely agree, the black smearing is very bad on a VA monitor I previously had (especially black text on a transparent background)

      • If you’re after IPS UW 144hz, you should check out the Philips 345M2R for gaming.
Comes down to around $500 with some sales and have been really happy with mine. The colours in SRGB mode look as good as my dell s2721dgf and I personally dislike curved monitors.

        • Thanks for the recommendation. However, I searched online and it says its a VA panel (Harris Technology and Scorptec)

  • Are curved better from an ergonomic POV?

    • I would say yes and no. Yes as you don't need to turn your head/move your eyes that much). However, no because the viewing angle is limited right smack in the middle (too high or too low, the curves will distort the image). The ergonomics for this monitor especially sucks as the stand is not adjustable.

  • Where's the 32:9 monitor at this price?😂

  • USB Type C - 0

    cries

  • Any good for Excel?
