First time post, full time lurker.

Went to check dell's annual EOFY and came across this by accident.

Was hoping for Muzeeb to bless us with some cheap alienware monitors for EOFY but found this instead. Checked yesterday evening and it was sitting at $814. Possibly the cheapest its ever been with Uniday code?

Price reference below for codes you use
UniDay code - $490.04

Have been looking at getting a Gigabyte m32u but comparison wise this beats it by a small margin in picture quality and you lose the USB C upstream.

    Muzeeb pls

    • +12

I'm still bitter I missed the Muzeeb 38" ultrawide deal. Every deal now just looks expensive.

      • +1

Honestly I’d even take @dealbot deal at ~$1289 if given another chance.

      • +3

Life has just been monochrome ever since.

    • +2

      @Muzeeb pls bro

      • +34

Thanks for the tag. I've sent you a free one as a reward to your address in the system. It has a dead pixel but I know that won't bother you.

    • +1

Anyone would care to explain this thread? :D

      • +2

If you don't know who is Muzeeb forget it

      • +8

It's a long and treacherous journey, but https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/725021 show all comments ctrl+f muzeeb

Basically, a Dell Adviser named Muzeeb was re-issuing orders thru live chat and thus people were getting their orders confirmed for an otherwise outrageous price error

        • Thanks for that, now I know :D

  • +6

    thanks
ordered one with code AUAFFILIATES5% for further 5% off, end up $500.60

    • +1

      Thanks hksbrian

I forgot about the AUAFFILIATES5% code, ive updated the page now

      • Thanks, used this

  • +1

    Excellent post. Thanks.

  • +1

Wow good I waited and didn't go for https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/776453 + AMEX

  • +3

Wow, that’s an incredible deal. Just picked up a 2nd one of these, bring on dual monitor life

    • I'm tempted but my desk isn't big enough. I put a vertical 24" next to this, that's the limit I think

      • Yeh I had 27” and then dropped down to 24, I feel it’s a better fit

        • +1

Next to this monitor, the 24" is perfect yeah.
Plus I got it for free from that Lenovo deal, paired with a $8.75 monitor arm

      • +1

I’m definitely gonna need to find a bigger desk tbh, sounds like a problem for future me tho

        • +1

32” at a 600 deep desk on a monitor arm is pushing it. I’d prefer an 800 or so and may be better with 27” vertical

          • @Lolitsjoel: Yeah I’m currently painstakingly switching things from my work laptop to my gaming PC every time I need to change over since I’ve only got the one monitor. If it ends up being too much with 2 32” monitors, I’m happy with just buying a 800 deep L-shaped desk and having one setup on each side tbh

          • @Lolitsjoel: I'm running 43" on a 750mm deep desk. Love it. Both gaming and work.

  • Now we're talkin' - if only it was curved.

Also, 2 points per $1 with Qantas browser plugin, and 10% cashback with Amex (Qantas Ultimate card).

      • Yes, thanks, I have 2 of those (they were $360 each about a year ago).

        • wow that's incredible!

        • Do you use them in a bright room? I have one for my work but we are moving to new (very bright) offices and I'm worried it won't get bright enough (graphic design work).

    • +4

      I'm happy it's not curved.

  • +10

Crazy price. If you're reading this, just buy it.

    • +1

What's a normal "best sale" price for these?

      • +9

If you could get one of these for $700 around 2 weeks ago, it was considered a bargain. $500 is a no brainer.

  • +1

Good price. But will have to sell my cheapo 4k 32. Would be great if it could die right now

    • +3

      Dual monitor setup :D

  • Bought one on the previous deal. How's Dells return policy 😂

    • +1

They charged me full price for the Muzeeb deal and it took me 3-4 months to finish dealing with customer support. Different situation though.

  • Fantastic, got one, thanks. So stupid do not have student code. Now this is a great bargain. Hope it is not price error like Dell last time. 4K 144Hz. No comparison. Best deal.

  • At this price it’s a good deal. I paid more on the previous deal. Would have made the hassle of replacement less of an annoyance due to the price.

  • +1

    Absolute bargain at this price.

  • +1

Unreal deal. Just bought it for $500.

  • +2

Deal of the year so far if honoured.

  • +7

Amazing price for this monitor, I bought it a year ago for around $800. It's well worth it at this price!

  • Got one! YOLO

  • -1

Ordered the HP used yesterday. Can that be cancelled?

  • +1

If anyone needs a code, here’s one FB2H0X8?QJMTK8

    • +1

      Used. Thanks mate!

  • +5

Just bought this 2 days ago. OUCH!

Edit - Call Dell and they are refunding the difference. Fantastic.

    • How much for?

      • +1

I got it for around $750 or so with didscounts 2 dats ago when it was $812.00 I think it was.
So, yep, very happy that they are refunding me $220.00 or so dollars.
The lady did not hesitate and assured me at the start that she would sort it out.

        • They just tried to tell me they couldn’t do a price match because I used a student discount. I’ll try emailing now, but fair warning to everyone else, don’t bother calling. Dell have offshored their call centre, so nothings getting done there

      • +1

I paid $771. They refunded me $220, not the full difference but good enough.

    • +1

yes 30 days price match policy i did contact them as i paid 755 one week ago

      • who did you guys call? or was it online support

        • I did online support. Started a service request via email. You can call them if you want. I emailed them at 10ish this morning and got the email few mins ago.

          • @Deuce: I just bought this monitor last week as well, sent a service request so hopefully I can get the difference refunded.

Amazing monitor though. Works well with steam deck too

            • @mauduong: Yeah either one works. Give it a few hours and they will reply. They sent me a credit note for $220 but I got an email from a rep saying they will refund $270 the full difference, so I’ll wait and see which I get.

It’s an amazing monitor. Few hiccups with my first monitor but the new replacement has worked well.

    • +1

Nice one - I've had really good experiences with dell warranty and customer supports

  • Is there any real value in getting this if I only have a 3070ti?

    • +2

Just buy it and keep it in a box in storage — this is a fantastic deal!

    • I have a GTX 1080 and it's fine, I just don't expect to play anything at 4K.
RDR2 at 1440p 60 looks great on it.

      • Hmm I have two dgfs going fine but this is tempting! Haha

        • +1

Personally I'd say its worth the upgrade if you have a PS5/XSX with HDMI 2.1 as that's the biggest selling point of this monitor.

      • +1

Does it look weird due to scaling 1440p on a 4K?

        • FSR does a good job of upscaling at these higher resolutions and looks substantially better than regular scaling.

  • I think there’s the K12 code that gives you 7% off without edu email

    • Which code?

      • Search K12 here on ozb. You get an emailed code

  • -4

Ok so basically it's 4k 32" 144hz non curved with freesync. Is it the game as gsync?

Any downside to the monitor? Is it IPS?

    • +1

Most monitors now support G-SYNC even if it's not explicitly listed, and this is the case for the G3223Q as well:
      https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/g3223q

It's basically the best 4K gaming monitor you can get in this price range, by far. Great all-rounder and is suitable for productivity/office work too. No real downsides except for crap local dimming, but that's to be expected for most monitors in this range.

  • +5

Already have an M32U but this is INCREDIBLY TEMPTING

Edit: Screw it, going to wait for an OLED instead

    • Won't get OLED for $500 for a long time though hey?

      • +1

Probably not for a while but I'm more about quality over saving a few pennies. I'm not denying this is a great deal by any means.

  • Great deal! Thank you!

  • PLEASE dell gods, bring this deal to the Dell NZ website, I beseech thee!

    • Wonder if there's a shipping forwarder you can use or something

    • -1

Buy 20, fly to Australia to pick them up, sell 18 when you get back = profit.

      • Buy 20

I am become Ozbargain, buyer of monitors

      • Jetstar baggage charge: $50958454897485778943597453453

  • This deal is nucking futs. I bought this monitor a couple of months ago at $702 and thought that was a steal. At this price GO GO GO!!!!!

  • +1

I just bought 2 days ago on the previous deal for $755! Order is still 'in production' so I'm going to see if I can cancel and re-order or if they'll refund the difference.

    • +1

I called and they are refunding the different. Bought mine 48 hours ago.

      • I called and got told I had to wait for delivery, then call again.

I emailed and they replied that because I used the student code it cannot be price matched. I would instead have to take delivery, then ask for a return and refund and repurchase. What a waste of both Dell's time and mine.

I'll try call again once it's delivered I guess and see what happens.

      • what no did you call - was Mon - Fri 9 - 5. Bought mine 12 hours ago. Submitted a case for order cancellation but it would OOS once they get to it and do it happily lol see the demand.

I forgot to put the coupon code so paid $527 which is not too gad. but I hope they just dont call it, no phone/chat support on weekend for Dell, happy to be corrected for order related shit/customer care

  • Will it work with something like this for sound?

    https://www.bigw.com.au/product/razer-leviathan-v2-x-gaming-…

    • Yes, but I can't even begin to tell you how much better something like this will sound:

      https://www.amazon.com.au/Edifier-R1280DBs-Bluetooth-Bookshe…

      • Agreed, but unfortunately space is an issue. I’m basically wanting to plug something into the monitor that will output the sound from all sources L, eg PS5, Switch, iPad Pro.

        • Hmm, looks like that Razer soundbar doesnt have a 3.5mm audio input which is what you want for this monitor - as the monitor has a 3.5mm audio out port.

          • @theguyrules: Ah okay, so the USB C won’t provide sound out? I am outside my usual scope haha.

            • @Tacenda: The monitor has no USB-C, so you won't have anywhere to plug the USB-C, if that makes sense.
you want something with 3.5mm (headphone plug)

              • +1

@theguyrules: My bad, in my excited haste I missed that on the specs. Thanks for not ripping me a new one haha

  • If you have AMEX, there is extra 10% off

    • How?

    • Is there direct link to amex cashback? Dont see that offer
