            @truetypezk: For real. Adobe just probably made a bit of money from people they were unlikely to get a cent from, and it cost them nothing. Silly for them to cancel them all really…

            • @NigelTufnel: Yeah Adobe's pricing isnt really home/hobby user friendly. Even their education pricing is a lot more expensive compared to other softwares. Microsoft seems to understand this a lot better.

              • @truetypezk: I'd love them to bring in a tier for Lightroom that was cheap, but maybe limited you to 100 photo exports per month or something.
                It's a great program when you need it, but don't use it that much to justify the cost.

                Happy to pay this year on year just for Lightroom, but if it got cancelled, I'm just back to the high seas version even though that's been a pain to set up on my M1 Mac…

  • Just noticed the transaction on my credit card disappeared. The account looks fine though, just checked and the plan is still active and the apps are still working.

      • I believe it was pending still, otherwise, I would have received a refund, but instead, it just disappeared.

  • Pending charge on my 28 Deg card has vanished also, although the billing history still shows on the CC website. Account still fully functional.

      I got one too. I’d urge people not to feel guilty about this deal given we’re billed from Adobe Dublin (in Dublin, presumably to minimise their tax obligation in your country) so pretending we’re in Lebanon to minimise our Adobe ‘tax’ sits ok with me

    I checked the emails from the mailbox I used for this account (not main email account) and saw one from Abobe that described how the plans will be migrated from a Lebanese to Australian account and that there will be a charge.

    "The price of Creative Cloud All Apps (100Gb) [Student and Teacher Edition] will change from LBP 356400 /annually to AUD 259.90 plus 10.0% tax /annually. For your annual, prepaid plan, as your plan is migrated to Australia, you will receive a pro rata refund for the original annual, prepaid plan in Lebanon."

    I'm now on hold with customer support trying to cancel the subscription and get a refund.

      U can just do it online they said in your account. It's within 14 days. They were adamant I signed up to new plan. I was like nah it happened at 3 and 4 am I was asleep…

    My Adobe account shows my next payment date will be on 27-Feb-2025 at AUD$527.87/year.

    I signed this up on 23-June-2023 which is supposed to be a 1-year subscription.

    I believe Adobe has cracked us down.

    Similar to others, I was charged $259, I went into my Lebanon teachers Adobe account and cancelled. The full amount was refunded.

    Found this email from Adobe:

    Dear XXXXX,

    We hope you are enjoying Creative Cloud All Apps (100Gb) [Student and Teacher Edition]. We want to share an important update about your subscription price. You purchased your subscription using Lebanon as your purchase country. However, your subscription has been used predominantly in Australia. In order for you to continue to use your subscription, you will have to subscribe at the current price for Australia.

    To avoid disruption to your work, we will migrate you to a new subscription within the next 30 days reflecting Australia as your country of usage, and the applicable subscription price of your plan. The new subscription terms will be the same as the terms under which you signed up, other than price. The price of Creative Cloud All Apps (100Gb) [Student and Teacher Edition] will change from LBP 356400 /annually to AUD 259.90 plus 10.0% tax /annually. For your annual, prepaid plan, as your plan is migrated to Australia, you will receive a pro rata refund for the original annual, prepaid plan in Lebanon.

    You can cancel your current subscription by going to Adobe Account or contacting Customer Support. If you have questions about these changes, or would like to discuss additional plan/pricing options, please contact Customer Support directly. If you take no action, your new subscription term will start within the next 30 days, after which you will have 14 days to cancel and receive a full refund.
    Your new subscription will automatically renew annually at the standard subscription rate until you cancel (price subject to change). You will also receive a confirmation email containing the subscription detail terms.
