No deal. Previous offer is cheaper.

    • Not sure why you got negged as you are correct. Price noted here is the usual price from SaveOnIT so this post is just a reminder of their standard pricing which is decent regardless.

  • Can you apply this to an existing account?

    • Q. Can I add additional license to my Microsoft account prior to expiry of existing license?

      A. Yes. Microsoft 365 licenses can be stacked for upto a maximum duration of 5 years.

Is it worth getting it just for the backup. 1 TB one drive per user.

Your words say it's a question, your punctuation says it's a statement.

But yeah, especially the family one is great value. Essentially 6tb/yr for $100.

    • That is the primary reason I have had this for years. Latest miscroshaft apps is a bonus. I could use free apps to do the same but the cloud storage makes this a no brainer for me.

2% surcharge for PayPal & card payments.

    Do they take cash ?

    • +1

      Crypto maybe

      • What about this?

  • Considering that an automatic renewal through Microsoft is $139, this is a deal. Mine was about to auto-renew in a couple of days, so this just saved me $40.

  • Would I still be able to use Microsoft word even though it expires 1 year moving forward?

Any cheap alternatives that can be purchased once off??

    • Libre Office should do pretty much anything you'd want from an alternative, and it is free.

Just remember to save your documents in Microsoft formats if you are sending them to other people otherwise you'll confuse many of them.

Does the trick still work to stack single user subs, then finally add one family sub to upgrade the entire stack to family? So buy 4 single user account, apply them all so you have 4 years, then add one family sub to upgrade to 5 years of family.

    • Give it a go and report back :)

    • +1

Nah doesn't work anymore. When you upgrade from Individual to Family, the existing sub duration will get converted by 80%.

I had 45months of Individual sub until October 2026, when I bought a year of Family sub, my existing sub gets converted & reduced to July 2026.
Added with a year of Family sub, now it's running until July 2027 only.

      • Good to know and also the method that they use when applying Family to existing Individual/Personal subs.

  • FYI, please note…

I ordered two personal and one family license. I received the two personal licenses immediately, but no family license. I was going to test the upgrade path from personal to family license, but now have to wait until after the weekend. Got the following email:

Thank you for your order. Your order for Microsoft 365 Family Office 6 Users 1 Year AU licence Email is currently awaiting processing from our team. Please allow up to 1 business day (Excluding weekend & QLD public holidays) for this process to be completed.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

~$95 if you use ebay 4% vouchers (or better 10% if you have those)

    No surcharge afaik.

  • For personal use just google it for free, git it?

  • +1

It’s showing $79 for the personal

    • Thanks updated the post for the change.

  • I've been renewing my family license through these guys since 2018, always much cheaper than going direct through Microsoft.

I'm pretty sure I had the same option last time I renewed, as I just did this time, when you add in the product key it asks if you want to turn on recurring billing to get an extra month free. If you choose yes then it will renew for 13 months instead of 12 months. You can then simply go into your subscription, turn off recurring billing and the extra month stays on your subscription.

My original renewal started in June, my renewal this year isn't until July and after just adding the new subscription, next year is now August. I'm pretty sure you need to have some form of billing method on your account to be able to turn on auto-renew but it's easy enough to remove once the subscription has added.
