      Basic process would be

      • work out what fits by checking aerpro
      • decode what features you want
      • choose a unit
      • optionally, find somewhere you can try it out
      • if where you're buying does installs, look at reviews mentioning installs
      • if not, find an installer
      • legend thanks mate

    • Check YouTube, if it looks easy DIY if Difficult get an installer.
      eg: My 2008 Mazda 3 took 30mins, looked at a video for my Mazda 6 and quickly decided that was well beyond my risk appetite. Had to remove the centre console and half the friggin dash.

  • Is it worth getting the Head unit kit from them as a bundle?
    Comes to $730 for a Camry

    • It's almost universely cheaper to buy all the individual parts separately. You can usually get the facia a lot cheaper on AliExpress or Ebay

    Illegal for a P-Plater to use CarPlay\Android Auto in many states, and this is a dumb unit so without that all you get is a Radio.
    Spend $150 on Aliexpress and you get a Decent Android unit, that has Google Maps and basically any Android App available, so P-Platers can still have navigation.
    The Aliexpress units, are also more responsive, have a sleep mode so they start almost instantly. Strat time on this is terrible.

    • How will you get internet on the android unit?

      • Multiple options;
        - Offline Maps with Google Maps or any other Navigation software with Offline Maps (Not: WAZE)
        - Spotify Premium supports offline use
        This is what my daughter does, when home the car connects to WiFi automatically and updates \ syncs.

        Other options;
        - WiFi to a Hotspot
        - HotSpot to Phone (likely not officially supported, as could be considered a function of the phone)
        - Unit includes a SIM card for a mobile SIM (not very cost effective)

        In NSW at-least P-Platers (3 years) can't use BlueTooth or any Phone Feature)

  • Does anyone want a Aerpro Kenwood to ISO harness for this? Got one basically new for $10
