  • It's a powerful netbook, but not a notebook. Good price, though, especially considering the resolution.
May want to add to description that it's 1.45kg (weight is kind of important given its purpose)

It's maybe 10% faster than an Atom N570. It is not powerful. It's a straight up bog standard netbook.

    • The weight could be added to the description but do you think it is such an issue if the price is right? I bought it a couple of months back when JB had it for around $307- I think it is a solid little machine with good design and excellent battery life and perfect for my needs.

problem is its not a good cpu but in combination with the graphics, its actually not too bad

    e450 + hd6320 vs. atom 570 + intel gma = a win for AMD

  • FYI people, centrecom are having a sale on all Windows 7 laptops (I think they're still banned from Ozbargain). Nothing worth a Ozbargain post, but perhaps some to compare to.

Am I even allowed to mention centrecom like this since they're banned?

  • Wht is centrecom banned?

I bought one of these early this year during a JBHIFI sale. It is a good travel netbook for downloading photos etc. RAM is upgradable to 8Gb.

  • I bought one of these when they were first on sale for $350 and it has been a very unhappy experience. Getting black horizontal lines all over the screen, it has been in for "repair" once before, where they….Updated the BIOS.
I'm just putting up with it for now, because their repair turnaround is painfully slow (1 week +)
    So, caveat emptor

  • Fantastic little netbook. Not a fantastic CPU by any means, but this is easily the best netbook under $400 IMHO. find me another netbook that will run L4D2 and COD4 (not that youll play these on the go, but just for benchmarking purposes). Definitely needs another stick of 2GB RAM though, ive found memory usage is quite high just word processing and browsing sometimes :\ but very nice to watch shows/movies on, play some light games, and do work. Everything a netbook should do. Not to mention, if anyone is curious how win 8 runs, im running Win 8 RTM and it runs great. Definitely a good buy. :) not perfect though (the DM1z is a better revised version, with a better CPU) so go for that if you find it on the cheap.
