Jbhi fi have the same price

  • Choose between the Complete cleaning kit (In stock) or Detail cleaning kit (OOS)

    • Detail one would have been handier for car cleaning for sure.

Battery is terrible. Only last 30 mins of full speed and then you have to wait half a day to charge it again. Can’t even swap the batteries easily as they’re locked in with a screw. I regret buying this thing. Would definitely look for something else with an easily swappable battery.

Retrofit your 18+V powertool batteries (Ie Dewalt, Milwaukee, etc).
eg… and not a recommended supplier:

Interesting - have you tried this? Game changer if it resolves the V7 battery issues

        • +2

Not personally, but a friend has. There were a few catches, like only charging through the charger for batteries and not the vaccum. The performance was not diminshed in any obvious way (at least compared to a worn in dyson battery - may be slightly down on a brand new Dyson). You also need to be careful with the Milwaukee batteries and don't run them to fully flat on the vaccum - stop at one bar. But if you already have a bunch of these tool batteries about it shouldn't be hard to have a couple charged.

          • @nitens: I think the Makita and Milwaukee etc brands have an auto cut if it gets too low

            • +1

@George Washington: I think this may be two way managed between the tool and the battery or may be based on an expected amount of draw from the tool. This may have changed over time. So yes they are managed when used in a Milwaukee tool. He was told that this wasn't the case when being used in another tool/usecase and was advised to stop when one bar was displayed to be safe to avoid damaging the batteries.

This advice may have been wrong, but being cautious with expensive batteries makes sense to me.

        • The same adapter's are on aliexpress, $21aud plus GST free shipping

@SoTightEcoLPI: Totally… Hence the "not a recommended supplier" comment above. It was just a demo of what I was talking about. So shop about for a deal that suits.

I have done this with a ryobi adapter. Its annoying that you can't use the wall mount anymore, and some older 1AH and 2AH batteries struggle to do the full power mode, but my 4AH battery lets me vacuum the whole house in full power mode, whereas before I'd be lucky to finish in the low power mode. I like it a lot

I did mine to use the Dewalt batteries. Works great.

damn, there's no adaptor for ozito batteries (one of ozbargain favourites)

        • +2

Aliexpress do have them, you just need to dig through a couple of the listings.

I ended up buying this one from eBay with the eBay $5 off code with eBay Plus it ended up being $24 delivered after they accepted my 26.50 offer.

Einhell and ozito batteries are produced by the same company and are interchangable between the two.

      • +1

Believe me, this adapter can not used in this SPECIAL V7 model.

I am using this for a year, battery doesn't last for more than 10 minutes in max speed.

      • +3

Max mode is only supposed to run for around 8 minutes.

On the other speed it's supposed to last close to 30 minutes

        • Other speed for these Dyson's is so useless tho.

Are you trying to clean an entire house with a dustbuster?

      • +1

You can clean a small apartment in one go!

    • Is this the same with the V8 or did they improve the battery in those?

      • Think the same motor as the v8 in this one.

    • Out of interest are there better options anyone would recommend?

I'm not surprised it doesn't last more than 30min, but i'm surprised it's a concern as i've always seen the use case for these stick vacuums isn't to clean a giant house really - it's like spot cleaning or area cleaning.

But if there is a stick vacuum that can last lots longer i'd definitely be keen on it.

      • the newer dysons can last around 1hour on eco mode. Still limited time, if running on high mode though.

      • VIOMI A9 is a fraction of the price with the same performance and slightly better battery life with easily swap-able batterys

    • For the price you cant really complain.

    • Get a Bosh. I bought one a few years ago, I was lucky, a spare battery & charger was also included. This is the most quiet vacuum I have ever seen. And you can also use the battery with other Bosh garden and power tools. It's a win win on all level.

    • 30min??? My xiaomi one last only 5min…. now it is dead… crap chinese brand…

  • +2

Bought one during a sale earlier this year, it's perfect for a small apartment with mostly hard floors. It will pick up everything including dust/powder from the grout in the bathroom on normal speed with the motorhead. It will pick up visible stuffs on the carpet in the bedroom. It's great for quickly going over the floors every morning in my place charging once or twice a week, takes as it says 5hrs to fully recharge. The sealing and hepa filter are good, it doesn't spray anything out that gets picked up by the 2.5 sensor on my air purifier if you have allergy/mcs problems, even though it's only a H12 I think.

I would not rely on it solely for carpets, the suction between this and a regular vac are night and day, I still use my regular vac to give the carpet a deeper clean every week. Nor would I rely on it for a large place unless you want to muck around with battery stuff posted earlier.

  • will Good Guys price match and throw in the same free accessories?

  • Is the v7 advanced same as v8 series??

    • I think the engines are the same.

  • It seems that the biggest problem lies in the battery, and I hope they can further improve the performance of the battery

  • As I have Makita tools I just purchased their 18v stick vac ($129) and cyclone attachment ($45). I assume it wont be as good as the Dyson on carpet but seems to perform pretty well on harder surfaces …

  • For that coin grab a bagged Miele. $25 for 10 bags (aftermarket) and it will suck so hard you'll be dizzy. No hassle of clogged heads, degrading batteries and bagless bins. Source: I've got Miele hx1 stick and Dyson V6 and hate using both of them. I do 95% of vacuuming and wife does 5%. Everytime I pick up Miele stick it's flat with clogged hair. Wife doesn't even swap out the battery. I pull kids food and all in the bagged unit 👌

  • Don't forget stack with CR today is at 5%

  • +1

I think this V7 has the same engine as the V8 so has 40 minutes of run time. With the free accessories pack + 5% CR, a bargain.

  • Got this, but didn't notice there is no wall bracket. Bit of a pain.

  • Do u guys get the free bonus cleaning kit?

    • Still being shipped.

  • This is amazing value. The vac easily does my whole house even with a fair chunk of max suction on.

Accessory kit is very worthwhile as well.
