      Hi chk,

Please contact [email protected] - as we previously discussed, we need a picture of the mattress showing visible indentation without weight on it.

We very rarely turn down warranty claims, as they're extremely uncommon for us. All we require is photo evidence of the mattress having visible indentation.

Our warranty does not cover "softening" of foams, unless there is a visible dip or sag in the mattress.

Here's an example of a mattress that we replaced for free today, no questions asked upon receiving the photo.

Bought the original onebed queen for around $500 on sale two years ago. 50% inflation in 2 years is a bit much.

Mattress was ok quality but felt too firm. It's now in my guest bedroom and I'm using an ikea spring mattress. Ymmv

    • Hi there,

Our Onebed Essential at the moment is $512 including delivery (with the additional $100 discount). Almost the same price as 2-years ago.

We have never sold our Onebed Original 10" for $500. It's currently $610 with the coupon, which is cheaper than two years ago.

      • Sorry my mistake, I had a quick look at my tax invoice again and it was definitely the Original Queen and also $600 Inc GST back in June 2021.

Which means your queen bed now priced at $810 is exactly 35% increase in 2 years.

        • If the OZBORG code can bring it down to $610 then it is a decent deal.

          Hope this helps someone else.

          • +2

@Positivelypoopoo: The OZBORG code will bring it down to $610.

            Thanks for your comments.

We understand inflation sucks, and we've done our absolute best to keep our prices as low as possible. We genuinely have razor-thin margins on our products in a hyper competitive industry.

Our warehousing costs have gone up, our delivery costs have gone up, and the raw material costs have gone up too.

$610 in 2023, only $10 higher than in 2021. With an average of 7% inflation each year from 2021-2023, our price should be just shy of $700.

This is genuinely the best deal we can offer right now, and genuinely a better deal than anyone has been able to get in the last year.

We appreciate you trying to keep us honest. Retailers should be held accountable.

Flipside is I bought a Onebed because everyone was complaining about how firm it was - and it's great, definitely not too soft and hot!

I recently returned one of these mattresses under their 125 night guarantee. That was a much better run experience than with Emma which was a nightmare. I am yet to receive the refund from OneBed but I did get a note from them yesterday saying it was being processed as they had confirmed with their collector that it had been picked up.

The one thing that I do find a little farcical is the post regarding 55% off EOFY sale. The site is constantly advertising a 55% off sale with a timer which is a bit shady really considering the spruick from this post.

I recall a prior post saying something similar and the generally shady tactics of a number of online mattress providers.

Reason I am posting is that I would put money on 55% off on 01 July and pretty much every day post that.

    • +1

Glad to know that your return experience was smoother than with Emma.

Your refund will definitely be processed soon, it's generally 1-2 days for bank clearance after we mark as processed.

We do run sales very often, but the coupons listed are in addition to our normal sales.

Unfortunately, with almost all of our competitors constantly running sales, we have to do the same or we just won't make sales. We don't want the mattress industry to always be running sales, but here we are, stuck in an industry where if you don't run a sale or discount, you don't make sales ๐Ÿ˜ž

Really surprised with these negative experiences. Bought a onebed on a similar deal (got the expensive one - the queen size) and it's been great. Happy days since.

    • Thanks a lot for taking the time leave some feedback here, most of the time we only hear of the horror stories when we post publicly ๐Ÿ˜…

I think it's more common for the people that are happy to not say anything at all, and the people who had issues to voice their concerns. @krunchymoses

Side note: We do have a long list of reviews here for anyone else reading that is interested…

You were getting a bit of a kicking so I wanted to balance the scales a bit. This place is often harsh but fair - and often harsh but totally unreasonable. But hopefully you learn from some of the feedback!

My bed is great. Gonna keep it for ages.

Another happy OneBed owner here. Been using my OneBed original since 2018 and couldn't be happier, especially considering what I paid for it. And it still looks and feel like new after all these years.

      • Thanks a lot for sharing @pyr0maniac 5-years and looks and feels like new ๐Ÿ’™ that's what we like to hear ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Same experience. Friends comment on how comfortable it is. Top of the range.
All mattress retailers offer 50% off regularly. Check Myer sales for Sealy etc. Standard practice like for luggage.

Thanks a lot for sharing your positive experience ๐Ÿ’™

  • Do you do delayed shipping? I want this to arrive post-August

    • Yep, we sure can. You can put it in the special instructions when placing your order.

  • Purchased one of the original King size mattresses quite a few years back now, still going great and I've had comments about how comfortable it is!

    • Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback Liam ๐Ÿ˜Š Glad to know your Onebed is still going strong after quite a few years @liam1983

  • I am thinking to get a Onebed X, are they much better than the Original because it is double the price of the original?

    • It's our top of the range mattress. If you prefer something firmer, go for the Onebed Original. If you prefer a more springy feeling to the top of the mattress, go for the Onebed X.

The Onebed X has more of a "pillow top" feel to it. While the Onebed Original has two firmness options, either latex on top, or you can flip the top layer to have the memory foam on the top layer. The latex is more springy, but firm, the memory foam is less springy, but a little bit softer.

      Hope this helps!

  • any idea on when the split king adjustable frames will come back? I think I've been waiting for 6 months

    • They are on backorder at the moment. They'll definitely be available by late August, early September.

  • Anyone tried one of the Onebed pillows?

  • +1

They're great until you loose weight and it's used to supporting the heavier version of you… Every night I'd wake up with back pain but I've fixed it by turning it and flipping it. Definitely not too hot and not too soft. It's firm at first then it settles in. Much better than the koalas imo

    • Thanks for sharing your Onebed experience. Wishing you the best on your weight loss journey, keep it up ๐Ÿ’ช

  • Ordered the 10โ€ yesterday to rural SA, this morning just received an email saying I need to pay an extra $100 for shippingโ€ฆ I did not read anywhere when I placed the order that an extra shipping fee may be required, the email didnโ€™t even give me the option to cancel the order.

    • Hi Roobarb,

If you're in a rural area, you should have seen this box at checkout:

      https://ibb.co/D91HB0T

Please let me know if you didn't, and send me a private message with your order number (or postcode + suburb).

In cases where we show this box, and request additional shipping costs, it's only to prevent a loss on the order. It means we sell the mattress at cost+shipping.

As you mentioned, we are willing to offer an immediate refund on the order, if you're unsatisfied with the extra shipping costs.

Very sorry if this has caused you any trouble, I'll make sure it gets looked into immediately.

      • Hello. Yes i did get that pop up but read it as if I need to return it I may be up for additional costs, my bad for not reading throughly. But I donโ€™t usually get hit for additional shipping from other retailers for bulky items.

  • Can any plus size side sleepers weigh in please? I'm looking at the original.

  • +1

Got one, with the discount code the 8inch single was $345. pretty happy with that price and looking forward to trying it out! thanks op

Thanks OzBargain, what a great deal and just buy one single size original 10 inch mattress. Hopefully everything go smoothly and give me a decent sleep afterward.
