Got mine a few weeks ago from the first time this was posted.
Works fine charging the iphone/ipods but does not work on my Samsung S3.
Also have a HTC One at home but haven't tried that yet to determine if the micro USB connector is faulty on the unit I received.

I got mine last time this was on. Took so long to come that I'd completely forgotten about it, not complaining, just saying. It was a nice unexpected surprise. Although I haven't actually used it yet…
I got mine a couple of weeks back (well, they actually sent me two… not sure why).
The cable's rather thin and doesn't always retract/roll up properly, and while it charges my iPhone fine, it doesn't seem to work for syncing it in iTunes (it's just not detected for some bizarre reason). Good for charging. Useless for syncing/data transfer.
But it was free, so I really shouldn't complain!

I got mine a few weeks ago and whilst it's free, the quality is terrible. It causes the charging light on my Android device to flash off and on and when I plug in to a PC in Mass Storage Mode, I get a "This device can perform faster" USB 1.0 message.
Free, but crap.
I got a problem with one of these gadget 2 but not from this one, my one is from CashAPhone.
But it still work fine for me
Maybe U should try plug the USB into the PC/laptop first, then connect the other end to your phone.
That's how it works for mine. I assume it should work for U 2, if U did it this way.
I got one from CashAPhone last time they had this giveaway. Mine didn't work at all….
Also, the build quality was terrible, and there was a light brown substance smeared along one side of the cable… I can only imagine the type of factory it was made in….
