Reminder that many US telcos have free e-sim trials and that there are apps like Airalo which can be very competitive and have the convenience of being an app making it easy to install and manage the e-sims.

I personally use Airalo and love the fact I can top up my e-sims if I use too much data and I can easily re-use old e-sims if I return to a country.

Had gotten the USA esim for a two week trip. It was easy to set up but worked 10% of the time. It took so long through emails whilst i had wifi trying to sort it out that by the time it did, the trip ended. Moreover, no one replied to my last email.

Have heard that it works fine for others but not for me and didnf have a great experience gerring support for it to be resolved.

  No the 128kbps is only when you go over the data allowance i.e. The SIMs still work but just slower speed.

Just got back from Vietnam where I was using the Asia Explorer Travel eSIM.

The reception was pretty terrible, even in the main cities. Was this because of the local networks there, or is it an inherent issue with data roaming? e.g. having to re-route traffic?

Hi @TravelKon, I wanted to get the "Hong Kong CSL 30 Days" but noted that the expiry on Ozbargain says "31/12/2023" but when I click the link and go to the website page, the expiry in the top description section says "30/12/2023" and the detailed section under "What's Included" says "Expire 30 December 2024".

If the expiry is actually the earliest date, 30/12/2023, I actually land on the 30th but at night so I wanted to make sure it wasn't an issue to activate all the way on the last day?
