        Atmos without a sub isn't really Atmos. You're better off with this as a package.

          From my own experience hearing atmos sound bars vs. dedicated speaker + amp (especially with proper in-ceiling speakers), I'd argue that atmos in soundbar form isn't really atmos either, sub or no sub.

          If I was space constrained, I'd still opt for spending $250 on a separate 2.1 system with bookshelf/floorstanding speakers with proper speaker placement and stereo separation, than getting a sound bar. Sound quality from individual speaker systems trumps the sound from a plasticky sound bar with tiny drivers any day. The used market is full of cheap used surround sound systems too. That being said if you own a soundbar and you enjoy the performance of it, that's all that matters and more power to you.

    Most of the Netlfix movies produces 5.1 surround sound so if we play it on 11.4.1 soundbar, so does it produces better extraordinary sound than playing it on a 5.1 surround soundbar?

      Not necessarily, the up scaling will be a hit or miss. The best experience for a specific content is the same channel numbers and decoders, if it's more or less it's gonna upscale/downscale and channel guessing will be involved.

    Got it 2 days ago for the $295 price, I'm hurting inside rn.

    Just too add, this soundbar sounds really really good for the price, gets quite loud and the subwoofer provides adequate bass. I'm used to higher end surorund sound setups, but for what I've purchased it for, worth the money.

    If you get this make sure you turn dynamic range control off (mine defaulted on for some reason). Otherwise you'll get lots of distortion. Took me awhile to figure out why it was happening

        Yeah they don't make it very clear do they lol.
        Press and hold the "sound mode" button on the remote for 5 seconds while the soundbar is off

      I went to a JB store Macquarie and they said they wouldn't price match because of the coupon code… So I left it in the middle of the checkout and went to TGG!

        The JB person on chat also said they don't usually price match coupons but since JB own TGG, they would see what they could do. They did end up doing the price match in the end.

    What type HDMI cable is required for this please? The one that came with it said ethernet but I need a longer one.

      What do you mean it said ethernet? I think any certified HDMI 2.1 that supports CEC should do the job, my knowledge is limited but I noticed no one answered you so I hope that helps somewhat

        Thanks champ. I found an older cable at home and it worked. The HDMI cable that came in the box had ethernet writtern on it. Must be having hdmi and ethernet via the same cable

            @ttkc: Yes it does the job well. It turns on when the TV is switched on so I only need the TV remote.

            The sound is a big improvement from the built in TV sprakers.
