None of these have 3.5mm. Saved you a click

Shame. I'm looking at the Sony Xperia 1 V or the ASUS ROG 7 Ultimate to get my 3.5mm fix

      • +2

Poco F5 ticks some the boxes too

      • also zenfone

        • Very true, new zenphone 10 just released but its probably going to be in the $1300 range

          • @Voucherd: I'm hoping it will mean the Zenfone 9 will go on a decent sale soon. I've loved my Zenfone 8 in everyway apart from the battery, and apparently the 9 was pretty good compared to the 8.

            • @Smilesy: yeah it probably will since the zenfone 10 came out

    • No SD slot either. Which is a problem for some since these models only have 128/256GB onboard.

I got the Neo for $275 a few months back comming from an opp a52 (crap).
The moto is awesome; but average camera and no wifi-sharing, updates are slow security patch still stuck on Dec 22.

The Fusion here will be the best bang for buck, a lot of phone for the money.

    • Interested when you need to wifi share?

    • +1

Wow that was a bargain! Can I please ask how you scored this price?

    • got the Fusion last deal a week or so ago, it is great, camera is good if not great but everything else is very good

    • Fusion has wifi share… Never knew it was even a thing.
I have to turn off wifi if I want to hotspot my 4g. (in a boost/telstra 5g blackhole).

You've used the same link for both the Ultra and the Fusion …

    • +1

Thanks. They all look so similar.

  • +2

If you're spending that amount of money for the ultra, probably consider the pixel 7 or 7a instead hey?

I get the feeling Motorola may have the same fate as Sony mobile.

sony's target upmarket on premium prices is too niche for aussie imo , that and their sub-par software support turns ppl off.
they exits australia but still selling ultra premium camera mobiles in other markets.

motorolas been flooding all kinds of models on all price range from budget to upper mid-range and they're all good phone with reasonable software support at value price over given specs except for their inferior camera.
they're no.3 in US and i don't think lenovo would can motorola from australian mobile market when they're doing pretty well here.

I dont think Moto is going to try to compete in Sonys mobile space.

They cater to the niche cinematography power users.

Moto is simply aiming at the everyman, via many products.

Worth upgrading to the fusion from my LG V30+ or wait till it dies?

    • +2

Mmm me too. Love my V30+ and it's still going.

    • +1

My family has the LG V30+ and it's still going. Great phone, size and low SAR values. Won't be upgrading the LG phone until it dies. If we upgrade, it would be to Neo (not Fusion) for its smaller size.
I bought the Motorola Edge 30 in JB's sale a few months ago. Value for money.
Will be buying the smaller Neo for a different family member when JB drops the price further. We prefer to have current security updates.

    • Same boat. Looking for a worthwhile replacement for my v30+ but I'm not buying something without 3.5mm and microsd

      • Thats why I have my eye on the HTC U23 Pro.

        • I thought HTC threw in the towel?

          • +1

@Ezekiel2320: Nope. Still releasing phones. Just pulled out of our market.

Meets all our bands though, so import is fine.

    • Was looking at the ultra for replacement for my V30+ but i need my always on display
Aside from not getting android updates its still an awesome phone.

I miss LG mobile phones. LG mobile division needs a comeback. More brands more selection, more competition, better value for money mobiles on the market.

I had a LG phone with the bad ass DAC built in. Nothing in the smartphone music area comes close to LG DAC.

LG V series & G series gets a notable mention for one of the best LG smartphones.

They have the potential to be top 3 with all the awesome hardware. Software is the area to be worked at. They can make Life’s Good for the smartphone sector.

I was sad when they decided to leave the global mobile market.

They still make great everyday home appliances.

      • +3

Yeah. Was keen to get the lg wing but lg decided to leave the mobile market altogether. <insert sad face emoji here>

Had the lg v20 its just wouldn't die. Its been dropped with and without a case. Just wouldnt break. Oh and that dac. Oh yeah. Hi def audio.

I agree with you. Another player in the mobile market space could only do great for consumers. More competition.
