BOQ $3000 Refinance Cashback (Min $250,000 Loan) + 0.60% Mortgage Broker Cashback (No Cap) @ BOQ

101

Dear OzBargainers,

Hope this post finds everyone well.

Fortunately, despite the majority of banks discontinuing their cashback offers from 30/06/2023, I'm delighted to inform you that there are still a few banks that continue to provide this benefit. One such bank is BOQ (Bank of Queensland), ensuring that you can still take advantage of cashback opportunities.

BOQ has recently confirmed with us that their REFINANCE rebate offer is still ongoing.
For Refinances, BOQ is offering a cashback amount. Please see the breakdown below:
$3,000 cashback for a new refinanced home loan of $250,000 or more.

  • $3,000 cashback offer is only available for new refinance applications received from 28 June 2023 and that settle within 120 days of the loan application date.
  • Offer available on BOQ’s Clear Path, Economy, or Fixed Rate home loan products only.
  • Minimum total new lending of at least $250,000.
  • Maximum loan-to-value ratio (LVR) of 80%.
  • Not available for the refinance, restructure, or switches of home loans within BOQ Group, which includes BOQ, BOQ Specialist, ME Bank and Virgin Money (Australia).
  • An applicant will be eligible for a maximum of one refinance cashback payment, regardless of the number of loan applications they are party to, provided the total amount drawn at settlement across all loans is at least $250,000.
  • The cashback will be paid to the applicant’s BOQ transaction account within 30 days of the settlement date.
For multiple home loan applicants the BOQ account needs to be in the name of at least one of the home loan applicants and the cashback will be paid only once to the applicants jointly.
  • If you do not already have one, an eligible BOQ transaction account is required to be established.
  • This offer can be amended and/or withdrawn by BOQ at any time without notice.

  • Any cash backs for loans <$150k?

    • +1

Hi crumbo85, we do not have any lenders that will offer cash back on loans that are <$150K. Our mortgage cash rebate is available for any size loans.

  • Does your Queen St office have staff in person to deal with, to discuss and commence a switch or later on any issues which may arise during the process?

I prefer knowing face to face option is available, in addition to phone/ email.

Yes, we have mortgage brokers that can discuss your needs face-to-face once you have your application submitted. Please submit and then book a time via our Let's Meet form https://www.withcashback.com.au/meet-us/

So, is the mortgage broker cashback an additional $6,000 for $1m refinance per the post, or $9,000 per the title?

    • Hi beaudilo, our With Cashback offer is $6,000 if on a $1M refinance balance. This is on top of the BOQ's cash offer which is $3,000.

Oh ok, so the title: "BOQ $3000 Refinance Cashback + Extra $1500-$9000 Mortgage Broker Cashback" is wrong.

        Got it.

It keep climbing beyond $1m by the looks. Graph here shows it going to $12k on a $2m loan and it's $9k on a $1.5m loan:

          https://www.withcashback.com.au/2021/02/24/boq-purchase-cash…

Not sure why they've listed the cashback component as $9k though, doesn't really make any sense in the context of the post.

@Wildesy: Hi Wildesy, sorry for the confusion caused to you. I just updated the title to avoid further confusion. Thank you very much for pointing it out.

        • +1

Where does the $9000 come from in "Extra $1500-$9000"? Would this be for a $1.5m loan?

In this case you'd get $3000 from BOQ and $9000 from WithCashback?

But if I go to WithCashback's website the cashback calculator shows $12000 for a loan of $2m…. in which case it would be $3000 + $12000. I don't know, OP's choice of wording in these deal titles is confusing. Maybe just stick with "0.6% extra cashback"?

          • @vorsprung: Hi vorsprung, sorry for the confusion caused to you. I just updated the title to avoid further confusion. Thank you very much for pointing it out.

        • Hi Beaudilo, sorry for the confusion caused to you. I just updated the title to avoid further confusion. Thank you very much for pointing it out.
