Eureka Mignon Libra €458.15 + €60 Delivery (~A$847.73 Total) @ Espresso Coffee Shop

160

Hi all. Noticed that the Eureka Mignon Libra is on sale. It is essentially the Specialita with a nicer portafilter holder and grind setting knob AND comes with built in scales so it is grind by weight rather than grind by time.

With a normal grind by time grinder if you adjust the grind setting you also need to then recalibrate the time it takes to grind to ensure you're hitting the correct dose. With grind by weight the grinder does this all for you resulting in less hassle and more accurate dosing.

Up to you if you think the price difference is worth less hassle, it is for me, but hurry as the sale ends tonight.

Don't forget your bank will charge you for a conversion rate and fees as the atm terminal is overseas.(depending on your card. I paid 4.5% in fees with nab for airline tickets although i paid in australian dollars.)
You can also get this from amazon DE at a similar price, with no additional fees.

    • Bank west platinum card has no fees

      • Up card as well

  • Could just be me, but i'd prefer a the standard eureka mignon with a single dose bellow kit.

I find the above without the kit, retains quite a bit of grinds

  • Is there a good option around the $500 mark?

      • That'll do it!

        • I have been using it for 2 years now, zero issues, just did not print the single doser. I just weigh the beans and use the existing hopper. There is a stopper I use to avoid the pop corning.

I think if you put the grinder on a PC mouse pad, the noise reduces a lot. It becomes dead quiet 🤫 lol

    • Even the Eureka Manuale should do; its 255 Euro incl shipping so somewhere around $410 depending on exchange rates.

You can also ask them to send you a discount code which can bring down the price a bit more, plus they ship quickly (mine took 5 days flat).

      • I asked for a discount code through their webform ans didnt get a response. Settled on a DF64v pre-order. Still waiting. (Def not the 5 days delivery from Italy!)

  • Would this be subject to 10% GST collection as well? Or import duties?

    • +1

      No, well wasn't for mine

    • Nope, no GST (the store wont charge you at all).

  • Bought my Manuale from ECS two or so weeks ago and apart from a little snafu with me not receiving the tracking number (had something to do with me not creating an account with ECS so couldnt see order details easily but easily sorted via email), it only took 5 days flat to receive (they use UPS which goes via the USA).

Also, the plug for this will be the standard two prong EU but when you order, in the comments section you can ask they send across the EU-AU plug adapter (or maybe ask them to install it for you before they ship it out); the plug adapter is secure (it works slightly differently as you will need to screw it shut) but a bit on the bulky side.

  • Who's using this with aldi beans?

    • +1

Me atm, waiting on some Lime Blue 😆

    • Which beans do you get?

      • He said LB lol
