More reasonable price for the Gamecube Pikmins. Still wouldn't mind gettin' this physical for <$50..

  • Do you need to have played the previous pikachu game before playing this new one, to understand the story and the characters?

    • Hopefully not!

How complex can the story and how deep the characterisation be in a game called "Detective Pikachu 2"?

      • Some of the story in this game could be a call back to the last game?

        • +2

The first game ended on a cliffhanger

But they might do a what happened last time…

          • @sss333: Did it? I appreciate your reply, i didn't play the last game so i wouldn't have known it had a cliffhanger ending

            • +2

@OzBoganYeah: Its been a while since I played it but there was a certain reveal near the end iirc and the story definitely didn't conclude (the main plot goal was not accomplished)

    • Its a Preorder, noone has played the game yet

Sweet! Can't say no to some price drops

Fingers crossed we see Super Mario Wonder get a discount

Thanks OP. Ordered Pikachu and will decide between now and ship date whether to cancel or not.

I always do the same, sometimes price drops happen without anyone noticing so its nice to know you generally have the best price locked in before release. Its then up to you if you still want to go ahead or not

E.g. I only noticed recently that my order for Stalker 2 Collector Edition dropped to $99 on Amazon. The last deal posted about it here was at $109

      • Stalker 2 aka the new Duke Nukem Forever.

Going to be how many more years before we get an actual release?

        • +2

Come on man. Last I heard some of the dev team are literally in the war with Russia

      • +1

It must have dropped in price for a bit very recently, I just checked my order status last month on stalker 2 and it was still at $109. I know its only $10 less, but you just made my night! :D

        • +1

That's good to hear! :) For the same price as the Limited Edition right now, you really can't complain haha

I really had no clue as to when it might have dropped in price, I don't think I had checked it since ordering. CamelCamelCamel doesn't even show any of the price drops

@jjsu: Another amazon mystery! Haha…all i know is a win is a win and i will kindly take it :D

Everyday Extras 10% stack on Big W though when released, worked for me with the new Zelda

    • Is that the $7/month service? If so - find that’s worth it?

      • Very worth it, Big W + Woolworths 10% monthly plus a free item every few weeks has saved me a heap

  • +5

Support Big W if you can! Otherwise Amazon won’t bother lowering their prices! Seeing it time and time again.

  • This or Pokemon Snap?

    • +2

If you liked the first Pokemon Snap then New Pokémon Snap (first Pokemon Snap is on NSO Expansion Pack if you have it)
If you liked the first Detective Pikachu then Detective Pikachu Returns… probably…

If you didn't play either first entry ay this point the safer bet is probably New Pokémon Snap since Detective Pikachu Returns isn't out yet and we're not sure how it is and Detective Pikachu is a lot more story focused but yeah…

  • Still waiting for Amazon to list WarioWare: Move It…
