          I also got the confirmation email. If no free coffee shows up seems like a pretty dodgy tactic to lure people to sign up to your mailing list for nothing.

          All is forgiven if i get free beans though.

      I know right, I think I got 3 or 4 texts on the last day alone of the EOFY sale, not to mention at least one every day in the week leading up. And it took them 11 days for delivery

    do they do light roasted beans? or is it just medium and dark roasts?

      Yep, they roast for filter, espresso, and an extra dark roast especially suited for home baristas called “downtown”.
      I especially like the Brazilian SO espresso roast in Plunger and Stovetop.
      All Filter roasts have been great for Pour Over. New Colombian looks good.

      It’s the darkest roast “downtown”. I haven’t tried it, I don’t have an espresso machine. For free I’ll happily give them a go in the French press and stovetop.

      Maybe you could regift the beans if you know someone who’d appreciate them?

        yeah I don't like the taste of dark roast I medium maybe but mostely i like light roasts.

    I emailed them. They said they would be honouring them. They did say "all valid" but….i did point out i signed up yesterday. So not sure if they are acting like they are saying yes to me but also saying no.

        Didn't see any sticker with roast date. I have to freeze it anyway, as bought 2kg from Sicilia Coffee last week, so plenty of beans now.

            @baldur: When I freeze coffee beans, I divide them into small portions that I would use in less than a week and store them in airtight container in the freezer. When ready to use the potion, I defrost overnight in the fridge, then take out in room temp for a while, then put in grinder hopper. If you open the beans while still frozen it would absorb moisture from air and won't be good.
            I think you could freeze the coffee ground too if you not planning to use them for say 3-4 weeks.
