This isnt exactly QHD, its at 3840 x 1600. So about 110 ppi, which is about the same as the AW3423DW. I'd still get the latter though. Lower response times, higher refresh and true blacks.
I’ve had both and kept this over the AW3423DW purely for that extra vertical. Can confirm this is amazing for WFH
I work for Dell and have purchased this monitor (the 38”). I love it for work and play. When the 34 QD-OLED came out, I borrowed one from the office for the weekend, and the 34 truly looks amazing. Even 2D photos look like they have depth to them that I've never seen on another computer monitor before. But after the initial “woahhh” moment of the QD-Oled passed, I found myself missing the extra size of the 38” monitor.
I have one of these already and the text is very clear which is why I am buying another in this deal. Apparently OLED including the AW3423DW don't have such great text clarity. So it probably a matter of working out your primary purpose.
Text clarity for QD-OLED can be improved for most applications via software that accounts for the different subpixel arrangement.
Eventually, Microsoft will update how they do Cleartype to address this and other formats.
