  Had one of these (different brand, however identical) and the rubber on the end snapped after a few months usage….

  Maybe I was unlucky. Good and easy to clean otherwise

        lucky. I've had one of those. The rubber on every knock box I have dies eventually.

  I have one and it gets bashed everyday, it's never missed a beat but I only rinse or handwash mine, I suspect that sticking it in the dishwasher will mess up the rubber ring on the base.

  I've got a similar one. I just put a plastic bag in and I don't even have to clean it.
