  This one or Samsung 980 PRO M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD with Heatsink 2TB next door?

  Is size the same as non heatsink ver? enough room(physically the extra piece of metal on SSD) for my old laptop Aspire A515-54-582S

  Depends if you think the extra money is worth having dram, a faster drive and a heatsink… It will definitely be thicker than a standard nvme but it wouldn't be significant. it's small for a m.2 heatsink. Do some research on the size, I'm sure someone has tried to fit it in a laptop on youtube.
