          You can order online, and then pick up. Their online prices are cheaper than in store prices.

          I'm in Perth and its $24 delivered. So that brings it to $229 for one but if I were to buy 3 it's still $24 delivered which brings them in at $213 each delivered. The only thing I would say though is that umart is preorder. I assume fling shot has stock?

          The reason is, people who order online just walk in, pick up and walk out. Order is picked already. They don't need to offer any customer service or answer any questions from you. You know what you're buying, and you're served very quickly. So you get a discount.

          People who come in to browse might require more assistance and will take longer to serve.

    $209 at PC Case Gear. Buying 2 comes to $418. Shipping by courier is $13 bucks. That's only $431 shipped by courier or $433 by AUSPost Express Post. That's not even a special price on PC Case Gear.

    That's $19 dollars cheaper than your "promo" price, rep. And PCCG are competitive but they aren't exactly known for having the best prices either.

      That is a reasonable analysis, dropped the prices on the three options so we are now a few dollars cheaper on each after shipping. At least to Sydney, it may vary depending on where you are located.

          Just drives. I have a 5bay Synology NAS with 3 bays filled. I want to get two 3TB drives for $300 or less. The Seagate Barracuda drives are almost there. $165 per drive. I'll wait till there's a sale. Thanks, rep!

    I noticed you've got 32GB Lexar USB 3.0 sticks for $20 on your site but without stock. Any idea on when these are coming back in? This price is cheaper than it was when you last posted the deal on OZB. Will it still be $20 when they return to stock?

      We are waiting on more stock to come in, we dropped the price to 20 for a customer last night who was having an issue, it was just a one off thing. The price will be back up to $23 when they come in again.

    Good to see flingshot joining the competition.

    But ARC Computers have it for $205 pickup from their 5 shops in Sydney. MSY have it for $205 pickup at a few stores.

    Too bad flingshot is too far away from me for pickup. Good deal though if you want them shipped.
    Will pickuP mine for $205. Work close to one of their stores.

      Very subjective.
      In a NAS environment, most likely yes.
      Red is a built-for-NAS HDD

      For storage they are superior imo. Very quiet 5400rpm drives that are much faster than the green drives, maybe not as quick as the latest blacks but close and you wouldn't notice the difference in NAS usage. See the review here: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article1285-page1.html
      1tb is a bit average for speed but the 3tb is shown beating a 2tb black drive as well as a 7200rpm 2tb seagate drive in various tests.
      Those 7200rpm drives are a little older now but it's great to see 5400rpm drives at the same performance level as them!

    I honestly wouldn't call this any sort of deal if all fling are doing is 'matching' competitors. Saving $3.00 on shipping isn't a bargain.

          Since you're biggest selling point is "Free Shipping". It would be worthy to match the lowest price available (ie, Shopping Square $199) and still offer free shipping.

          Unfortunately that is not going to happen…

          You have to look at the after shipping costs for a true comparison. The advantage to free shipping is that everyone pays the same amount, we have yet to work out a way of magically teleporting it around Australia at zero cost.

      I assume that REP only reduced the prices of the single and 2-pack. Maybe he didn't reduce price of the 4-pack.
      If you are looking to order a 4-pack, just send them an e-mail, or order the 2-pack twice !
