Ryobi 18V ONE+ 2 Piece Brushed Kit $160.30 + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store) @ Bunnings

130

Saw this kit when I went to grab the brushless one. Whilst not as good value arguably, it’s still a good consolation price to those that missed the other kit.

The impact driver alone is $70, making the two batteries and a drill only $90. And honestly I tend to use 2ah batteries on these sorts of things anyway since they’re much lighter.

    It's a tough sell mate.

Other kit had 2x 4Ah batteries, this one has 2x 2Ah.
Other kit has a 2A fast charger, this one has a 1.5A standard charger.
This kit does give you a bag though.

Ignoring the obviously big difference in both drills for each kit, the $40 difference between the two completely takes the shine off of this kit unfortunately. I reckon anyone would be mad to buy it considering how good the other one is.

Oh yeah for sure. Only posted because there’s low stock for many of the other kit.

I checked stock online and on the phone in about 20 stores yesterday and the only one with stock was about 1.5 hours away from me (lucky I have family there and they were able to grab the last one). One of the guys at tool shop tried to offer me this as a runners up prize, but for the reasons you outlined above I said… no thanks.

      • When it comes to Bunnings stock, recommend visiting the store and checking onsite

Some of the kits showing as out of stock or not available either on the Bunnings or 3rd party tracking sites can be found in store. The last time I was passing through Bunnings, they had this kit https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/776605 available at the front of the Tools sections before the internal checkout.

Sometimes if you call up the stores, they will say it is out of stock despite showing in the trackers above - on one occasion it was because the staff was looking for a standard product box whereas the tools were stacked and packaged in the included hard case without any obvious product markings on the outside.

Always call and quote the I/N. They are much more likely to help because its more efficient for them.

Also don't forget brushed vs. Brushless

      • It does not show a pic of the brush the kit comes with, i wonder if it also includes the pan aswell

    • Got a link to the other deal so I can keep an eye on it?
