Despite being a knock-off, this will be far better than anything Rubik's brand. Just so people know. The only reason to buy a legit Rubiks cube these days is as a collectors item.
FYI: Genuine Rubik's Cubes have been left in the dust by "knock-off" speed cubes for almost 20 years. They all have weird Chinese names like MoYu, DaYan, Shengshou, YuXin, QiYi and Mofang JiaoShi, but they're all better than the "original".

Is the GaN cube different to this one? Benefits of magnetic?
Maybe the GAN is slightly better but my kids have the kmart one, works great and its only $9.
Magnetic means there are small magnets in the corner cubes that help the sides to align, so even if you rotate a side and don't get it lined up perfectly, the magnets will help pop the side into place. It's a nice feature to have.
