    Why is it limited to 600m3/h when the isodrive 900 motor is rated at 900m3/h?

    If this rangehood can perform at 900m3/h with an external motor, then it is a super good deal. I had a new rangehood with an external motor installed this year, it is amazing, I will never look back onboard motor ever.

    Got a new kitchen installed this year… Told the Kitchen guy that I wanted an external motor and he was like "nah nah this one's super quiet it'll be fine"

    Guess what - it's loud as all buggery -_- I'm considering just getting an external motor and rewiring it…

    TLDR: Get an external motor with your rangehood!

      yep
      Installed a Schwiegen with roof-top motor not long ago and zero regrets.
      Also self installed, no way I'd be paying the price I've seen some installers quote if you're at all somewhat handy-man inclined.

      All rangehoods are rated "Silent"
      None of them are.

      Also the motor might be silent, but 900m3/h air whooshing thru isn't.

        The quote will vary widely depending on your type of installation. Venting through the roof, wall or eave? Ease of roof space access? Internal or external wall?

    This is a very good deal. External motor is so much quieter. Decent air volume too. Normally it costs a lot more to have a rangehood of these specs and quality.

    this is a really good price!
    is there any specification or manual available? tried to look at if my 150mm duct can be reused.
    tried to look for the official site and search for them but no luck.
    found one Facebook page but the link to their homepage is dead.
    Wonder if the manufacturer's warranty could be honoured in case it went pear shaped.

      So sorry about that - unfortunately we don't have a cost effective method to ship to the east coast at the moment and to cater for any warranty/return situations. We are however looking into this and hoping to have a solution implemented in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out.

      It would depend on the space available in your kitchen. I would recommend getting in touch with an installer to arrange a quote, but if the space allows it then it should not be a problem.

        This is probably a silly question but as we only have a 60cm stove, would the end result of getting this 90cm rangehood be similar to getting a 60cm one with higher extraction rate? Thanks!

          It is best to get a range hood larger than the cooktop if you have space (an extra 150mm on each side). It's also best to turn the extraction on several minutes before cooking. Both will reduce the extraction speed required.

      We recommend Rob at Platinum Rangehoods for installation, and can provide his contact details. Not sure on estimated cost for installation, as I would imagine it would vary from location to location.
