You'll get the hang of it eventually.

    ….

    "Break it down!"
    "Stop, Cabletime!"

They mail a single cable in three bags. Absolutely an insane amount of wasted plastic for a single cable.

      wasted plastic

      Don't you recycle ?

      • +1

Yeahhh. Redcycle has well shown plastic recycling really isn't great.

          recycling really isn't great.

Sounds like you're not doing it right…

            @jv:

estimated 12,000 tonnes of stockpiled material

Just because it goes into recycling, doesn't mean it gets recycled =P

Even the "easy(tm) to recycle" stuff people can't get right - eg putting recycling in a plastic bag.

I asked if you recycle, not if you got someone else to do it for you.

              • @jv: So how do you recycle such items?

              • @jv: Haha if you're asking if I melt down my own plastic and blow into new bottles and send them off to get reused.

Then…I'll let you figure that answer out 😊

                • @incipient: You don't need to melt plastic to reuse it.

                  • @jv: You said recycle not reuse.

recycle (verb) : to use something again for a different purpose

                      • @jv: it took you a lot of posts to get to the end of that joke. We can see why your post count is so high.

But that link specifically shows hat you used the word in the wrong way, hence everyone's confusion.

                          Oh, the irony… 🤣

                          • @jv: precisely, a 1 post joke. See how easy it is?

                              relatively easy…

    • Amazon is even worse

      • Hahaha. That's gold. At least that's all recyclable =/

        • and reusable…

  • This okay for a 4tb hdd? My new laptop has the smaller plug, but hdd has larger.

    • Not great, these are only USB2.0, not USB3.0

      • +1

        Any deals on USB3.0?

I do need a spare for charging, got caught out last time flying lol

  • What's the best way of buying these type of cables in bulk for similar prices? It shows $54 delivery fee for 50 cables :/

    • +2

You'd only be able to make 2 separate purchases with the codes on one account. If you messaged the store on AliExpress they should be able to offer you a deal with a unique link.

  • Ah okay thanks! It looks like free shipping for up to 3 cables. I will give them a message!

  • Doe anyone else have issues with 2 metre cables? Mine keeps disconnecting & won't charge. It wasn't this brand so not sure if it's brand related or just because it's a long cable.

    • +2

Even 3 meter cables are fine. Sounds like a bad cable that needs replacing.

    • Which brand?

      • I finally found it - Ravpower. Using it now to charge my phone but it's very touchy.

        • I've bought 2m 100W Qoovi branded ones and they've all failed. Even the replacements. 3/5 now and waiting for the other 2 to inevitably fail tbh.

  • Im printing this thread - just so I can recycle the paper

  • This is expired now, codes don't seem to work.
