Sonos Sub Mini (White) $485 + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store) @ Harvey Norman

180

Guess HN was fed up with too many calls asking price matching with JB, then decided to beat it by $4.
Bought one from JB at $489 a few days ago. Totally worths it. I have a sub gen2.. think sub mini is equally good if not better.

Enjoy!

More exhilarating home theatre
Unlock your entertainment experience when you pair Sub Mini with Beam or Ray. The 5 GHz WiFi connection enhances audio transmission speed so you can enjoy films, shows, and games with high-quality sound reliably synced with your TV.

More mesmerising music
Never miss a beat and hear more nuance in every note when you pair Sub Mini with One or One SL.

Core power
Within the acoustically-sealed cabinet, dual custom woofers generate the full-toned low frequencies of a much larger subwoofer. Advanced processing further enhances the bass response.

No buzz or rattle
Both woofers face inwards to create a force-cancelling effect that neutralises distortion.

Better bass for your space
Trueplay™ tuning technology adapts the bass for the unique acoustics of the room so it never sounds harsh, muddy, or flat — even if you place Sub Mini next to the wall.

Hides in plain sight
Elegant and compact, Sub Mini blends in beside your furniture and easily fits under a desk or table.

Connects wirelessly
Sub Mini connects to your system over WiFi, so you can place it wherever it fits and looks best in the room.

Plug, add, play
Just plug in the power cable, open the app, and follow a few simple instructions to add Sub Mini to your system.

Easy control
The volume automatically adjusts along with your paired soundbar or speaker. Use the Sonos app to customise the EQ and change the bass level to your preference.

Ultimate Gift Cards from coles gives you an extra 15% to use at JB hi-fi

    • I tried that, already sold out Wednesday morning at my local Coles. But no harm checking.

    • +3

I ended up getting 4 gift cards ($60 bonus value) + $30 off 300 spend JB Hi-Fi members perk. Ended up paying $399 out of pocket for the Sub Mini. I probably could have price matched HN to save another $4, but I didn't bother.

  • Possible to pair this with the Bose soundbar?

    • Just plug in the power cable, open the app, and follow a few simple instructions to add Sub Mini to your system

Nope. They work via an app so not interchangeable

    • Curious about this as well

    • +2

Defs not, these are both proprietary systems that aren’t compatible with anything else.

Worth paying $4 more at JB to not support douchebag chairman

    • +1

Whilst in with you on this the problem with no competition to JB can be disastrous.

  • how's this compare to a yamaha ns-sw300?

    • +1

Kind of irrelevant question really. This sub will ONLY work with an existing Sonos system.

  • Good guys price beating at $478 on their website (need to wait for the pop up)

    • It appears most white models of Sonos speakers are reduced at both TGG and JB-HIFI…

I just picked up a white ARC for $1049..

Im guess white stock does not move that quickly and they are trying to clear it out

  • damn, when's the black going to go on special

    • +2

      Just paint it.

    • It's a sub. You can hide it anywhere- bass is not directional.

  • I have an open living room (large area) that extends to dining area and kitchen. Would the sub mini be sufficient or should I go for Sub Gen 3? A couple of threads on Reddit suggested the latter most of the time.

    • +1

Sub G3 is preferred for that room size but the mini will still be better than not having a sub at all. Fwiw I have a sub mini in an open living/kitchen space and it sounds great.

Im in the same boat as you. I have a Beam 1 and just bought an ARC for our larger open living/kitchen area.
the Beam 1 also felt under powered for the space

From looking at the video below

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abH5wPkm6nI

If you have a Beam/2 or Ray they suggest Sub mini
If you have an ARC they suggest GEN 3

I have quite a large area so I think ill save for Gen 3..

      • +2

Yeah you're right. I should just save up for the Gen 3. I regretted not buying one during Boxing Day where it was on special for around $799 before the price increase.

We currently have the Playbase which has an internal sub so looking to either get a Sub and 2 surrounds to complete the kit or switchover to Arc.

you can get the Gen 3 for $740 now..

          JB best price is $875.

If you have JB perks there is a $30 off $300 coupon

Coles have 15% off using Ultimate Gift cards..

Someone got this Gen 3 del..

          $875 - $30 perks - $105 (15% extra on $700 ultimate gc). Paid $740 after discount.

    • Gen 3

  • JBHIFI can price match that via chat. And they have free next day Uber delivery.

  • I just got an email from Melbourne Hifi. Looks like mostly white Sonos stuff is on sale. Must be from the distributor, so check your local retailer.

Not as cheap as this deal by the looks of things, but may be worth checking into your local Sonos dealer, whoever they may be.

  • $459 from JB with perks code
