for anyone who cant C&C, they also have it on their ebay store for the same price: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/325693309526

    • same price is actually the shipping price included

would be easier if they just email the download code…. no box/delivery required…

    • Thanks for sending the eBay link had free express shipping with eBay plus. I purchased on eBay.

Everyone who purchased on eBay ignore any unpaid item emails or messages in your account. Just got off chat with eBay Support and it's a technical issue.

  • Looking forward to replaying it on the go, thx op.

If you liked Paper Mario you'd probably like this.

    • This is a turn-based RPG isn't it? Not my cup of tea - have never been good at them - but some people love 'em. Game reviewed well.

      • It is, but if you play on easy you can just enjoy the story.

      • Only the combat is turn based, not moving around/interacting with the world.

Why do they put the code in the case? That's just a waste of plastic…

    • +5

To get the people who want physical.

Also, if it was sold from the distributor as a code only, they may not be able to/willing to discount it like a physical title.

You aren’t wrong, though. Waste of plastic.

    • +3

Some peeps like the case on the shelf as part of the collection, but agree it's a bit silly and not a green way to go!

20GB game size, meaning it would require a 32GB cart as the next smallest size is 16GB. I bet a 32GB Switch cart costs more than $9.

    • So they get a presence in stores, on the shelf. The distribution costs must be outweighed by the benefits they get selling the boxes with the code.

  • So this isn’t a physical game? Hate having to deal with cartridges

    • +2

No it is just the download code for the game in the case.

  • why can't they just email the code to save on postage?

    • +8

      The effort required to:
      * open the game
      * copy out the code (or upload a photo)
      * deal with people saying the code didn't work
      * deal with people being confused and saying where is their physical game/physical cover
      * making all of these steps abundantly clear
      * taking on the risk as the seller, rather than game publisher

Isn't worth it when they can just slap the thing in a prepared envelope and direct customers to the publisher with any queries

I can visualize Cartman getting this in the mail and sees no catridge - then goes AWOL, blames Butters, whole town of gamers riot and kills Butters haha.

.. And Cartman says it's not his fault but blames Kyle - and we all know why.

  • Waiting for pc version to be at this price

    • It's very PC

The game has micro aggression detection

    • You can get the CD key online for around $14, only $2 more than this deal.

Off topic but how good is the gamesmen store in person.

    • +1

I've only been there once, for their 40th birthday celebrations (mainly so my son could see Mario and Sonic wandering around). Such a great store. If I lived closer to it, it'd be my choice every time.

      • Same if I lived closer I’d go more often. The video game museum was such a joy to walk through and show my kid what I used to play with as a kid.

  • +1

I normally play single player RPG and campaign FPS, but I really enjoyed both of the south Park games. Turn based RPG with great south Park style stories

  • Tempted to buy it so I can get an extra case.
Have a couple of games that are missing cases.

    • +2

Have you looked at the MyNintendo case ?

      • I was hoping to get replacements. Figured I would get this one, then glossy print the cover of the missing game. Missing an Pokémon case, as well as Zelda and Witcher. Unless there is another way to get replacements.

  • +4

I bloody love the Southpark games, i wish they'd make more.

  • Did anyone else have trouble buying on Ebay app?
Had to use browser to get it through.

    • Yeah I had the same issue.

  • Bought because it’s cheap! Thanks OP.

  • Publishers selling digital games in retail packaging is intended to trick some customers.

  • +2

You also get 450 Nintendo points on redemption (valued at $4.50 on the Nintendo shop). That was a nice surprise!

    • Woo hoo, so almost paying half price

    • Holy so…I made a $2.50 profit then? I got it off ebay for $11.95 with an ebay $10 bonus CB a while back.

  • +1

    Damn. Code in a box

I was going to get it but no cartridge no buy

    • I just buy it for the price and at least it comes with a case. With a digital version, it’s 100% virtual.

Anyone else get theirs late (over 2 weeks later) and receive a random $2 refund from The Gamesmen on eBay?

    • +1

I did. I contacted them and some of the orders didn’t transfer to their system. Customer service was good and 3 business days later my order was shipped. Also received a refund for shipping.

      • Nicely done, :)
