I’ve found a coupon code for the Smeg online store which gives 30% off the normal price of small appliances such as toasters, kettles, coffee machines and more. Delivery is free for all examples. Code expires September 30.
Your mileage may vary when comparing the discounted prices with other retailers but I did a check with the 50s Style Mini Kettle as an example. With the coupon code it’s $139.30 delivered. Next cheapest was $150 delivered at Appliances Online.
Better dead than smeg
Smeg has notoroiously bad value. Building companies install this as their inclusion options, I would never buy that with my own money.
Some of their appliances are extremely non-intuitive to the point where I was at a friend's house and had to search for a PDF instruction manual just to microwave some popcorn.
Three IT guys all scratching our heads trying to figure it out. We couldn't even turn it on, let alone enter 45 seconds into the timer.
General public reviews are atrocious for some of their models.

This is correct. Worked for a large online appliance retailer and the amount of customers calling regarding issues with Smeg appliances was massive. More than any other product range.
But the name sells.
they have a generous replacement policy
Why on earth would I spend $300 on a toaster anyway. A breville closing in on $100 is top of the pops for my wallet
Why spend $300 when you can get one close to $900
Overpriced for low quality.
Don't know about the small appliances, but their pyro ovens are awesome. Had my last one for 10 years without issue.
