Condition Report

The Chairs are new but have light scratches and ring marks on the seat underneath due to shipping.
The Chairs have no functional issues.

I asked chat support and they said it was covered with Herman Miller's 12-year warranty from the manufactured date excluding these issues described in the condition report

    They've updated the original listing with pics of the damage, it's a bit worse for wear than I was expecting tbh. Think the poster in this thread that said these were mounted on another base got it right, don't see how this could've been caused by shipping damage.

      I saw those pics when it was originally listed and the deal was still active. Basically a non-issue IMO, not visible in normal use (and you have to go really out of your way to see it) and the warranty is still valid for all functional issues.

      Good to document the pics though!

    Just got an email say that the chair is ready for pick up in Sydney warehouse.

    I've just taken delivery of my chair.

    Everything you would expect. There is a ring at the bottom but it honestly isn't that big of a deal given the discount. Onyx is a whopping $3000 on the website!

    The leather armrests do smell a tiny bit of what you would smell if you walked through the fertilizer section in Bunnings. Not sure what is going on there… Hopefully it goes away. You need to put your nose up to it to smell it.

        I'm not sure when I placed the order, is there anywhere i can check that? But I was one of the first to get it, I think before even 2-3 comments showed up in the post. So i guess the time stamp would be around the time the 2nd post showed up.

      I actually applaud the company for selling it essentially as damaged goods.

      Too bad big box electronics companies don't sell open box at 50% off.

        Nothing. They ran out so have refunded you, thats all there is to it. If you're unhappy with the manner in which they handled it just shop elsewhere in the future.

        • LOL I had two other experiences with LE before, already unhappy with them.

      • No idea, I got a confirmation email too last Fri and also called them to check my order on Mon they just said Mon or Tue will ship it.

    Recieved the chair today. The advertised shipping damage is not noticeable. However, the lumbar support for mine is broken.. bummer.. seems like got damaged during the subsequent shipping to me… hopefully i will get a replacement part from living edge…

          One of the 'wings' is snapped and broken from the PostureFit mechanism. My chair is now differently abled.

          • @giantwithin: I replied to them on the order confirmation email with the picture of the damage. Haven't heard anything back yet. Will give them a call tomorrow.

              @giantwithin: For those who are interested, LE will be replacing the part. Also, the dude I spoke to was courteous. Overall happy with their response even though it might take a while.

    Wtf, ordered at 2:24pm, called a support agent and they said there was 32 left and my order will definitely be fulfilled… now got a cancellation.

    • When did you call them? It's strange as your order should be fine.. (unlike mine which was made after the first oos)

      • Literally 5 minutes after my order to confirm and get 100% confirmation, it would be fulfilled. I made a comment on this post in page 1 how I had just gotten off the phone.

        In retrospect, I should have had them put it in writing for me….

    UPDATE: My order cancellation was escalated to their team manager as I mentioned others had ordered later than me and had their order fulfilled…

    Got a call back and apparently there was some sort of mistake with my order on their side - had a rep reach out to me and offer to honour the deal. However I suspect it may be a brand new one. Looks like Living Edge do have some quality control from management side, am impressed.

  • Mine arrived this arvo.

    It's pretty much new. Barely any visible mark. It is so much different to the Aeron size B I got 10 years ago.

  • Thanks Op awesome deal, picked it up yesterday, it came in a large box disassembled, quite sturdy for those receiving via shipping. Can't believe how much these chairs have gone up over the years, still remember when it could be bought sub $1k on sale years ago. Minimal scratches on the base of the chair though the arms do have a bit of a smell to them, chemical fertilser smell. Overall very happy.

        Rumour has it that they spritz the armrests with some eau' de gameur before shipping em out.
