      Says unavailable for me.

      • +4

Interesting - it says 4 left on mine.

        • Seriously?!… ive been refreshing it for the past 2 weeks, has been 'unavailable'.

          How strange!

          • +4

@bargainman1: Well, 3 left now haha someone must have got one.

By the way - I own the black version - this is a really good keyboard.

            • +4

              @dramat1c: Yeh me! Haha

I changed my delivery address to my parents place and then the 4 you mentioned became available to me. So I snagged one.

Amazon must not like new estate addresses for some items. I've never had this issue before.

              Thanks for helping me troubleshoot!

@bargainman1: Amazon is weird like that.

Even during prime day, they had duplicated items on sale at different prices, same seller.

    • Also the black/"carbon" (same as JB one) https://www.amazon.com.au/Logitech-Lightspeed-Mechanical-Gam…

    • The link you have goes to a white model that's unavailable.

Try this one (Alx75 beat me to it):

Also, Micro USB charging cable feels really disappointing on such a 'premium' price keyboard

      • +1

yeah, Logitech putting micro USB on many of the premium products for a while is kinda frustrating.
The G-Pro wireless mouse ($300) and uses micro-USB… they released the updated G-Pro superlight ($300) which still has micro-USB
The G-913 Keyboard (original light-speed keyboard) is AAA batteries…. they released this keyboard as the update and went with micro-USB

Pretty sure they just don't want people to buy their products at this point, the price difference between micro and USB C is negligible at these prices.

  • Between this one and the mx mechanical, which one is the better one? I’m not a gamer, just need a nice mechanical keyboard for work. Already have a full combo mx master key + mouse and really like it. Tempting to go with the mechanical one.
On a side note. Perhaps do the price beat at OfficeWork to get 7% discount

    • +8

The gamer features aren't all that relevant to you and they come at a cost of well.. being more expensive, generally speaking.

The MX Keys is noticeably cheaper when on sale and is suitable if you want your keeb to be quiet. It isn't mechanical but it is one of the better membrane keyboards I've tried.

The MX mechanical mini — not as quiet but reportedly a half decent keyboard for the price.

I've personally moved on from Logitech's mech KB's as I've found their switches to be pretty average and un-interchangeable. Akko, Keychron and Monsgeek are some alternative brands to consider if you want to depart from Logitech's closed ecosystem

      • Thanks for the info. Just wondering if you have some links for new starters wanting to go down the rabbit hole of custom mechanical keyboards?

I’m after a full size low profile one that provides a better experience than the MX Keys I’m currently using, and it seems like MX mechanical is not the answer.

    • Different receiver.

    • I have the g815 and mechanical mx.

G815 is the same as g915 except wired, ie. Not wireless.

From just a daily driver perspective, I prefer the mechanical mx as it has more as it can connect to 3 devices wirelessly and is also takes up less footprint.

It also has hot keys with labels such as calculator which I use a lot for work.

The g815 has a better media key control like volume wheel.

Both are tactile quiet and feel the same.

  • Been using a linear one for two years. Great keyboard, the only issue I have is its volume control scroll is not sensitive.

    • +2

yeah I had the Logitech G613 the keys faded after 6 months got replacement and the keys still faded a year later. Never going back to logitech ever again for keyboards.

      • Same for me with the 512. Specifically, it was always the blue getting weak, on both the original and replacement beards.

  • +7

yeah just get a keychron for that price. much better keyboard.

    • Agree. For that price much better options. Can even get leopold which will be much more enjoyable.

    • Keychron is not as good, slow to connect and reconnect.

      • I think it depends on model

        • Which model(s) would you suggest over this keyboard

  • +1

I got this one thinking it might be a gateway into more customisable keyboards because it uses non-proprietary switches.

    But:
    1. I found exactly 1 set of custom keys that use that low profile switch, and
    2. The layout/shape seems custom (some keys will need modification before use)

The other kicker was having the S key fade (which lead to light bleed), and support saying they don't have 'spare keys', so any issue = entire keyboard replacement.

Other than that, great little keyboard. If you're used to laptops/Mac keyboards, this will feel pretty natural. I now use it at work as it's not obnoxiously loud. Got a keychron Q1 pro for home.

Recommend checking out Nuphy boards if you want low profiled mechanical - I have the air75 (among many other mech keyboards) and love it.

    • Came to say the exact same thing. I also have the air75 low profile one and it's been my favorite board after Razer/Corsair/Logitech mechs that came before it

    • Did you get the red, brown or blue switches for yours? And did you buy directly from Nuphy or from a 3rd party retailer like Scorptec? Have been keen to try one of their keyboards out, but trying to see which one's best for me.

      • I got the browns, which I think work really well for low profile (although I haven’t tried the other options to compare), and I got it directly from Nuphy (didn’t realise Scorptec stock them or maybe they didn’t when I bought it ~1 year ago).

      • I got the Reds, and bought directly from Nuphy (when they had a 20% off sale). The shipping wasn't cheap so buying locally would be more ideal. I would really recommend getting shine-through keycaps with your order btw, because the standard ones only let light in around the edges of the keys.

    • is the text on the keys still a bit off centre in Air75? it's a minor thing but a bit OCD

      • +1

Mine are a bit off centre, not sure if that has been fixed since I got mine a year ago. The keycaps are nice quality pbt though (they are opaque so the backlight won’t shine through, but I think they now sell shine-through caps separately).

  • Ive used two of these - both developed noticeable light bleed from the w and s keys within the year. Otherwise no issues…

    • Any reason you've used 2?

      • I put in a warranty claim when the 'w' on the first one scratched up over around 7-8months, so they sent me another. Same thing happened so it wasn't an issue unique to that first keyboard.

        • Yeh that seems to be a common issue.

I'll have to keep a look out for 'W'ear and tear.

          Thanks!

  • +2

I've burned through 2 of these. The W key kept wearing out and would end up either double-pressing or not being recognized at all. Great keyboard while they work, but I wasn't going to try a third time.

  • +1

Great keyboard and I use mine everyday for work and gaming. I've also done a warranty return on my g915, worn out w key and double clicking c key. Definitely get it from a brick and mortor store because if you use it a lot, you'll be doing warranty returns as well.

  • I used MX key first, then came to MX mechanical and it doesn't feel as responsive, I have to press quite hard for some keys, does anyone know why?

    • +1

If I were to hazard a guess, likely a combination of longer distance for the key to be registered as pressed, amount of force required for key to be pressed, and the height of the keys compared to chicklet keyboards causing issued with some keys "difficult to reach".

Though it could easily be some switches are faulty on your mechanical keyboard as well.

  • Honestly, not worth it when you have to deal with the Logitech software.

  • I was looking at this. I was close to buying it but chose the Razer Deathstalker v2 Pro TKL purely based on Logitech only had micro USB and not USB-C.

  • Good price. Don't forget to you your Coles Mastercards for the extra ~10% off and any JB HiFi deals that might be around (I have not checked).

  • Not a good one. Hard to get replacement caps. logitech app is buggy and back light keep turning off .

  • Had one of these since release, overall very good experience.
Works out of the box with Linux (PopOS) and as expected with OpenRGB, but sometimes Open RGB will forget the profile after a long sleep/hibernation.
Had been using an Anne Pro 2 prior but wanted faster access to PgUp, PgDwn, Del, End, etc, keys without using a modifier. I have the brown switches on the black brushed metal frame and am loving the tactile response, similar to but better than the first and last edition G15 Keyboards (I had both).

If you plug this into a windows box first you can save lighting schemes onto the onboard memory and switch to them later when not using windows (mac/android/linux), limited to 4 profiles. This is a great ten-keyless KB for the price, but it's almost impossible to find custom keycaps in other than basic colours and transparent at the moment. No fancy 3D designs around just yet. but it's super easy to get a bag of basic replacement caps on amazon if you need.

The brightest illumination setting does seem to have a little to much forward projection (onto the screen) but if you turn it down one click it is better.
Over all I would buy this again even not on sale, it's just a good value KB for someone who prefers typing instead of KB modding.

  • Been using the G910 Spectrum for the last 5-7 years, no complaints, except two keys (W and left Ctrl) have had the plastic legs on the keycaps snap off in the keyboard. Was a pain to remove and too expensive to buy replacement caps so I shifted some less used keys in their place.

Any suggestions on a comparable keyboard? I use the media controls and the macro/"gaming" keys a fair bit. I like having a numpad too. I am mainly in the Logitech ecosystem but not opposed to having differing devices.

  • Hmmm. Was thinking of getting this but a few comments here making me re-think. Anyone got alternative recommendations for TKL wireless keyboards? I don’t do any competitive gaming, just occasional play.

    • +1

Go for a Keychron. Far better value and quality to be honest. The G915 is fine, but for all it's compromises it's far too overpriced. Even at this discount.

      • Any model that you suggest in particular for Keytron?

        • +1

Equivalent to this? Any K1 model. So v5, SE or the new pro model.
