    Not full HD. 720pnative resolution.

Are there many full HD portable projectors available at this price point?

I have a Nebula from a few years back, I think it was/is in the same sort of price range. Not 100% sure if the specs are comparative but I recall it being native 720 as well

      • Yeah the Chinese OEM ones go alright

        • With battery? I've been hunting for something that has a battery and will run off a power bank and struggling.

Lol I thought this was a Asus x Sunbeam Latte machine.

    This projector is absolute trash!

I would at most pay $200 because of it's appearance and use it as a throw around impromptu spare screen or something.

I could forgive the lack of brightness because it wasn't intended to be "professional" grade… but it's still pretty dismal.

The built in "android" software is not the google skinned one… it is "aptoide tv" which is very clunky and less than responsive.
I tried to update the Latte projector and it downloads the update but despite the power cable being plugged in, it will not let me, (tells me i need to connect the power cable).
Yes, i've pulled the cable in and out a million times, restarted it loads of times (and yes i did make sure the cable was "all the way in")… but the software is just utter trash.

The mix of upper and lowercase letters tells me that it was a complete bodge job from a very unskilled and incompetent individual.
I love the design of the unit and the concept, and i reaaaaally wanted to love it… but damn, this thing is crap for the price hey…
Make sure you have a tripod too as the unit doesn't have horizontal keystone, only vertical and the unit is small enough to throw off the level with a few specs of dirt.

I do not recommend this trash can, even if it is on "sale". Its retail price is just an absolute slap in the face to any poor bugger that paid more than what amazon offer it for.

I'm VERY disappointed in ASUS, i have always bought their products at their "premium" price tags, and i expected just an okay product, but with all the flaws in the product, I am questioning whether they hold their weight in tech like they previously did.

Their rather unprofessional screenshots on their official website says a bit to me too:

    • Pros:
      Small
      Aesthetically pleasant to look at.

    • Cons:
Battery on my unit does not seem to work no matter how many days i leave it in to charge.
Won't update even if power is plugged in all the way.
Only 720p (and yes you can see it is pretty low grade).
      Dysmal software
You'll need another device like an nvidia shield or amazon firestick
If you use a firestick, it sticks out awkwardly and doesn't sit flat.
You will most likely need to buy a tripod too.
Oh and make sure not to select "auto turn on" because it just turns on whenever it feels like it… whether you have wifi or bluetooth setup or not.

I've forgotten all the other issues, but i've rambled enough!

I do not recommend the little trash can.

    • Thanks for sharing your thoughts. There's next to no detailed reviews available online. It's still on 'sale' through Amazon and I was really tempted, but based on your feedback I will save my money.
