      I understand that not everyone would want to run ffmpeg from command line interface, but there are still open source GUI wrappers and you typically would be able to use them for longer time as they are continuously maintained.

      Not saying whatever else is offered will not be supported, but mileage usually varies.

    free update to future versions is not included.

    Sounds like someone wants you to try it for a week, then when you need to minor update it to get rid of some bugs, they will then ask you for full price.
    There are 100s of great video converter freeware out there for light users, just google it.

      It's never a good idea to ask people to pay for updating in order to just fix bugs. If a bug occurs in the giveaway version, please write to tech support and they will work to fix that. Minor bugs can be fixed in the software with network while some require reinstallation after the bug is fixed. For the latter situation, we can wait for new giveaways and re-install the software to get rid of the bug. Thanks for your suggestion.

      Both help convert video/audio files well. But if you want more output formats or more video processing features (edit videos, record screen, back up DVDs, etc.), I'd say VideoProc Converter. But it would be wise to have both installed, give them a try and see which suits you best.

      Perhaps I didn't get what you mean but am trying to answer. I'm afraid it's not portable, as the software requires installation on a computer and you need to use the license code to activate it.

    Thanks OP. Am looking for something to replace my movavi version from 2017…. am trying to convert m2t to mp4, but if I try and specify the bitrate for video (by using Bit Rate = Manual), it won't allow values > 10000kbps in the Target Bit rate field. If I click properties on the m2t video, it's got the Data Rate as 25000kbps, so that's why I'm trying to use it. Any way to input 25000 in this field when converting to mp4?

        Yes, trying to convert a bunch of old Canon HV10 HDV videos. I've ripped them to PC using Firewire 800, now looking to convert the m2t files it created to mp4 using same bit rate as input. thanks

          I'd suggest you choose mp4 (h.264) as an output format in the software since it supports hardware acceleration so the processing speed would be faster. Then enter the "Codec option" and manually change the bitrate to 25000kbps.       401 means "register failed", which normally occurs when a license reaches the limit of activation numbers and someone is trying to activate it on more devices, but this shouldn't happen here. Could you send an email with screenshots of this error to [email protected]? That would help locate the issue.

    Hi, I tried to enter the license key. However, I received so many notifications that Malware detected: "reg1.datacenter-digiarty.com/reg/activation.php" and faced the error 201. Can you explain or fix this issue?

      Hi here comes the solution and explanation about this error. I copied this from the official faq.

      Error code 201-200: Register Error
      VideoProc Converter is virus-free software under Windows/Mac. Your firewall may block the register process. Please add VideoProc Converter as trusted program or close your firewall.
