Hey OzB, wanted to call out this Bonus for any of our Westpac users to get an extra $5 Cashback on ShopBack Gift Cards, includes all Swap cards so good to go there.

Challenge Details:

Offer: $5 Bonus Cashback
Min Spend: $75 Spend on ShopBack Gift Cards (Excludes Airbnb, ShopBack Supermarket and Uber Gift Cards)
Dates: 26th of July 12:00am to the 31st of July 11:59pm or until fully redeemed.
Opt-In Cap: 3000

  2. Our Challenges can take up to 2 days to update on our system. It typically updates once our system re-syncs at 9am AEDT/AEST.

  • Eligible Westpac cards can be found here.
  • Gift card purchases made using Apple Pay may take up to 14 days to be tracked. For best experience, pay using an eligible Westpac card that is linked directly to your ShopBack account.
  • You will need to ensure you opt-in to the challenge and only purchases made after you ‘Start’ this challenge will qualify for the $5 bonus Cashback.
  • Limited redemptions are available for the offer.
  • ShopBack In-Store voucher purchases are excluded from this offer.
  • Bonus is limited to one per ShopBack account. Additional transactions do not qualify for additional bonuses.
  • The $5 bonus Cashback is in addition to the regular Cashback you’ll receive for buying a Gift Card via the ShopBack app.
  • This bonus will be added to your ShopBack account within 48 hours of making an eligible transaction.

          Hmmmm yeah I'd say so, let me double check with the team in the morning but safe bet would be $75 spend on the Westpac card. I doubt the redemptions will run out super quick so should have time come the morning for me to doubly confirm.

            So it can be multiple transactions.
            I have already received $5 confirmation of completion of $5 bonus challenge.

    Hi GYB,

    Bottom dot point “more info” both here and in the app lead to an “Oops” dead link.

    Good to see a sensible minimum spend of $50 on the card to qualify. There was no such minimum mentioned for the Amazon Prime Westpac promotion two weeks ago, where the expectation was that a minimum transaction of 2 cents on a Westpac card qualified for a maximum $20 cashback per transaction. It seems tracking failed for many of us. Can you update us on whether our claims will be honoured?

      For users where tracking failed, I definitely recommend reaching out to our team via a Missing Cashback claim so that your tracking can be looked at individually, but I'll flag with the team the issue of the minimum spend on the card needed to a minimum 2c so that any issues there can be looked at.

      Hmm, it sounds like you might have a cooldown placed on your account from our accounts team so you should be able to purchase after a 24hr period. If you're still having trouble after that, always best to reach out and I can ask the accounts team to take a look at what the hold might be.

        Hi, I'm just wanting to ask you a quick question before the deal expires. The deal is a Westpac deal that ends in hours, it is an extra 20% cashback on top of the normal cashback if you pay with a Westpac card. They currently have an offer on their website whereby if you spend over $60 and enter GRANDSALE23, you get 15% off. I was just wanting to know if I can use that code and still qualify for the cashback from Shopback and using my westpac card?

      The issue is that Woolworths do not want to be involved in ShopBack’s gift card offerings, so ShopBack would need to convince Woolworths to come back in order to fulfil your request. Who knows what is causing Woolworths to take that position…

    I used partial payment with my Westpac card along with my accrued cashback. Challenge says I need to spend more to complete. Is this correct? Didn't see in the ts&cs that you had to pay the full amount with the Westpac card.

    I opened a Westpac Choice account two months ago for the purpose of Shopback Westpac deal.
