There's no large gravy… only regular which is same size as small p&g.
For the hack, just need to make any changes from the default. For example instead of the default chips pick a large drink.
Personally, I would pick large chips and large gravy (but only if they have the large sized gravy, none of gravy in the same size as small p&g). Otherwise, 2 large chips is a nice carb filler if I have my own sauce at home.
If you ask for no salt it is guaranteed a fresh batch of chips.
Damn didn't know some kfc's did large gravy.

Was looking for this on the weekend, no longer pops for the cheap as chips and other family meals (tried like 4).
Still wish they hadn't removed the 4x large sides for $9.95 addon.

The chips are not that good
100%, don’t know why you got negged.
They are never crispy, always need to air fry them at max temp to make them crispy (I think they are oven baked but correct me if I am wrong) and my last order’s chips were really really salty (I can tolerate over salted food).
Best side in my opinion is the coleslaw (tastes fresh and healthy, obviously not healthy).
The Slaw is so full of sugar you could freeze it and make ice cream , that’s why it tastes so good.

The chips are far better, the coleslaw is average - just go buy some Coles finely chopped coleslaw mix and some coleslaw dressing - for bonus points add in some finely slice red onion and grated tasty cheese.

I agree it is not an error (labelled as a hack) but a way to intentionally get this promotion offer every time. The fact that it is not advertised means a lot of people might not know about its existent.

If your store has hot & crispy, customise the add-on before removing the family meal and it will stay.
If your store does not have H&S, follow this
It might be an old post, but the hack doesn't seem to work anymore, once you remove the customised item it clears the cart sad times :(

@CodeXD: All good, I've tried removing the customised item before changing location, after changing location and then editing to make the pieces of OR but unfortunately no variation I did was successful this hack was the only reason I bought KFC too heart broken

Can 100% say that offer does not work there, (because there is no DOUBLE COMBO MEAL on there on KIOSK MENU, its an app special only).
On app it does work, But KFC account requires OTP etc, so wasnt able to get it need a new account for that i guess.

I went to KFC, but Maccas first, 2 orders at Maccas, $1 large fries, $1 cheese burger, then went to KFC, menu hack twice on one order, 2 sides large coleslaw, way bigger than I knew, and x2 5 tenders, then new accnt. $6 discount on $10 spend, on top of that I showed a kfc coupon for a free drink, nah not 600ml soft drink, grabbed a spring valley orange juice.
If it was me I probably wouldn't complain too much any free drink is good enough (normally they used to give cans, but YMMV) who knows may be store ran out of cans/bottles ?
Anyway next feedback mention that store gave you orange juice instead of 600 mL drink (OJ is probably more expensive Coke/water dude anyway)

Lost number a long time ago, had not used KFC account in a long long time either. But a new account making should do the trick

Try a different store to customise and then change back to your local store.
I can see chips, potato & gravy, regular gravy, and selection of 1.25L drinks.
