Break me off a piece of that Fancy Feast

    • +1

It's a cat food. Nailed it.

  • +3

The standard price is price matching 95c a tin at Woolworths, so the S&S is a good deal

    • +2

I always prefer Amazon for stuff like this where I want to buy a special in bulk anyway. That way I'm not clearing off an entire shelf and don't have to transport it home.

      • +4

Agreed, but if there's one thing I like about individual cans, it's that I can give my girls more variety lol

        • +1

I can give my girls more variety lol

Wow, the cost of living crisis must have hit you really hard to be feeding cat food to your family…

  • Great price. Brought it for $28 4 weeks ago.

    • +3

      Where did you bring it?

      • I brought it from Amazon.

        • +5

Doesn't Amazon usually bring it to you?

    • +1

      How did it taste?

  • +3

There are some short dated ones on Warehouse that has been sitting there for a while if anyone is interested for $19.50:

Fancy Feast Grilled Beef in Gravy Wet Cat Food, Adult, 24x85g $19.50

    • 21 Available
    • This item will expire on 31/08/23.

Only $1.02 cheaper than the ones in the OP but might be of interest if you are going to use them up quickly.

    • +5

Used: like new. Immediately regurgitated and retinned?

      • +2

The 'used' is generic for all the warehouse items. It is confusing as most items are new short dated or new damaged packaging.

        • +1

I grabbed one - thank you for posting :)

          • @anonymous_coward: Just had my order for this variety cancelled "Due to a lack of availability" Oh well they are still selling the other ones for $22.80 so I'll grab one of those instead.

      • +2

        How my dog likes it

        • At least it saves on chewing. What a waste of time!

    • +1

These warehouse items are sold out now.

    • +1

30 More available now FYI but at $20 @anonymous_coward

Sometimes those warehouse items get cancelled for unknown reasons but become available again.

  • Shelf ready packaging

  • +7

Just ate an entire can til I realized its cat food.

    • +2

Was it good tho? Out of 5, how do you rate it?

      • +2

        Solid 4

        • 😂 Thank you for your service, my cats will be forever grateful.

    • +1

… but it had a picture of a cat on the can. What did you think you were eating?

  • +1

    Are these good for sandwiches?

    • +2

TBH, the Royale Tuna variety isn't much different from Tuna (in looks, I haven't tasted it) made for human consumption.
I just imagine they've added extra vitamins into the cat food.

      • +1

        Sounds better than human food.

  • +4

    pensioners rejoice

  • +1

    No Turkey again
    my poor (profanity)

  • +1

Not really great, esp when you gotta buy 24 of 1 type.

Foodland had clearance for 50c last year I think, bought so many but probably should of dumped 1k cos my cats are pigs.

  • Poor animals…

  • edible for humane consumption ?

    • +1

      yes, dig in

    • +3

tried once n tasted bad. no salt. add a bit of salt. pepper n may be mustard sauce.
Goes well n comes out like a rocket

  • Better to buy in WW.. mix n match.. or else the cat will be bored to eat the same food daily for the next 24 days. unless u want to buy all the flavours.

    • +1

Warning deep thought: Do cats even get bored with food or is that a human construct? Or is it a pet food marketing team construct?

My dogs have been eating raw chicken bits for the last 7 years and hoe into it like the first day i gave it to them. Or are dogs just more easily pleased than those claw endowed little a$$holes that permit us to occupy the same space as them?

      • +1

It depends on the cat - my cat only likes the chicken flavours, but judging by other comments above, some cats like variety.

Dogs will eat anything (my dogs have been known to eat aloe-scented tissues…) - I was just thinking this last night: put an open box of cookies next to my cat and she just stared at it, then turned away and covered her eyes with her bushy tail and carried on sleeping… no interest whatsoever, whereas I'm sure my dogs would have devoured the cookies in a few bites.

Omnivores are usually scavengers (everything goes), carnivores are usually predators (they detect spoilt food and move on like the boss they are). There are less varieties in food for carnivores to start with, to have a complete diet they need to eat different body parts or different types of bodies. It might have been passed down in cats that they need to rotate their food, or the ones that didn’t have died off… My cats were ok on kangaroo and chicken for a long time, then after a bad batch of kangaroo, they started to reject both unless I added canned sardines. Definitely did not teach them to do that myself. Maybe a stray came and taught them lol

        • +1

          They taught you that

          • +1

@mikeroxoz: As a lowly human, I can only accept the overlords’ demands.

      • +1

My old cat has become like this. It's a pita as he needs to eat to keep on weight and have meds, and he won't eat anything more than twice in a row. Feeding him things like fresh mince (sold for humans) and even still he's getting picky with it.

He was never like that as a young'un.

      • My cat wouldn't eat the same flavour for the second day. He just smells it, sits there and wait for me to open another can. Sometimes the new one I open still not what he after, then he will just eat his dry food for the whole day without touching any wet one.

    • Changing food for cats is not recommended. Saying that, we used to feed our cat and dog all sorts of left overs as kids and never bought them and cat or dog food and they led a healthy and long life.

  • +4

Do not buy. They have a very weird aftertaste. And I have tried every flavour.

    • Make sure you have veggies with it, for a ballanced meal.

  • +1

protein sorted, should be good for my gains
