      Good deal! Hope you mind me asking, but I'm curious as to why people spend that amount of money on the Flip vs a normal S23+ aside from the obvious (it folds)

      However, its lower spec, lower battery performance, camera is worse and unlike the Fold, you don't get a bigger screen as the benefit of it folding. In fact, the only 'benefit' is that it folds whereas the Fold gets a near 8 inch screen as the payoff.

      Not having a go at all. Just curious

        We went for flip simply because of the size as you no longer need to hold a "brick" in your hand and it's easier to fit it into your pocket.

        I was a s21 user and can't go back after switching to these flip phones.

            @mobbahobba: Samsung confirmed both of my orders (one is non-exclusive colour) are eligible for this promotion.

            However, you can tell T&C is not perfect. For example, pre-order for Samsung Flip5/Fold5 started from 12:00 am today while T&C says the promotion starts from 12:00 pm. It looks like the "real first 500 customers" may not be eligible for this promotion.

                  In the T&C in the registration page, it says 5 pro; in the T&C in the Samsung member's app page it says 5 even for Fold 5.

        Bought and paid for something marked as "in stock" on their website in Feb for the delivery the following week. Long story short, constant no-shows for "scheduled delivery", constantly calling to ask why, constantly "escalated this through our internal channels", never kept their word to callback, never any replies. Absolutely useless. Gave up and cancelled after 2 months, They couldn't even get that right - needed to "collect stock" that was never delivered, didn't meet their own state times of 30 days to refund. Escalations to their "Contact our CEO" met with a single phone call from someone who said that this was a terrible and not the way it should be done and I will follow this up personally", yet ghosted me no matter how many calls and messages I subsequently left. Never again Samsung online store!

      I tried it on the EPP store and no luck. I did a comparison and the public store with the $200 loyalty and $100 UNFOLD code makes it slightly cheaper than EPP.

    Would anyone know if the non-return fee is still the trade-in cost of the device + $60? I really don't want to trade in a perfectly working flip4 if I don't need to. But also don't want to risk being charged extra for not sending in the phone.

      Yes it is. Got this response the other day as I didn't want to trade in my phone which was massively undervalued

      "If you decide to keep the device, a security deposit will no longer be reversed.
      An admin fee/late fee of up to $60 will be charged.
      Samsung may also charge you for any additional bonus credit applied to your order.
      Your original device will not be eligible to participate in Trade-up program in the future."

      Samsung would probably not charge the bonus credit as they have never done that before.

            @annielee: The flip 5 is actually for my wife. She's coming from a flip 4. She says she can't go back to a slab phone. The size and compactability is what sold her. The large cover screen is the biggest reason for the upgrade from the flip 4. She used it a lot of the flip 4 for notifications and photos. So this was almost a no brainer.

            I personally have a S22U and don't think I'll be moving to a foldable any time soon. I do believe the Ultra devices are a bit cumbersome though. But I suck them up for the features they offer over the non-ultra devices.
