These two models of Hoka trail-running shoes have come on special today.
I personally have run in the speedgoats for years but am keen to try to less-agressive lighter Zinal at $99
I also picked up the Torrent 3 at $99 myself.

Disclaimer - I've never worn either of these shoes before. I wouldn't recommend trail running shoes for general road running or for typical commute walking, the soles are softer than normal shoes and the treads are generally quite agressive, meaning they can be quite noisy on pavements, paths and floors.

As always - the colours are not for the faint-hearted. Caution - not all colours have the same discount.

    Those are both road shoes. The Zinal and Torrent 3 are trail running shoes.
    I wouldn't buy trail running shoes unless, ya know, you run on trails.

    Hoka's is pretty horrible too.

    I ordered some direct, few weeks later they hadn't shipped so I contacted them, they came back and said there was an error in the warehouse and they would ship them.. Cool, no worries.
    Few weeks later still no shoes, contact them again.
    They are out of stock and now have a new version of them. So they refunded me my money and told me I could buy the new ones (ones i ordered were on sale ~$150ish, and new ones $300ish)

    I politely told them to jam it somewhere uncomfortable for wasting my time. they offered me a 10% discount, so i repeated what I had told them to do.

    Then they came back again and said they would refund the difference if I ordered the new ones (so pay $300, and get $150 back)

    Told them to tell their manager that they should have just offered me a different shoe to begin with instead of f**king me around for 2 months.

    Anyway, this went on longer than that mess..

  haven't tried these shoes, but i have the speed goat with vibram soles and they are the absolute best trail shoes ever.

  258g in a size 10 for the Zinal. That is seriously light for anything trail related..
