Does anyone else think the burgers are smaller than they used to be?

    • It's because the chicken they get are the small ones (cheaper). There is no "upsize my chicken to Big pieces" option, so obviously they'll get the cheaper ingredient.

      • Yeah it's like they use bloody bantams haha

  • +4

$2 fo potato and gravy or $2 for chicken? of course go for the chicken!lol

    • The potato and gravy will be more filling tho.

  • I like how the terms and conditions at the bottom say "Only available in selected stores for a limited time only. While stocks last." Imagine KFC running out of chicken. ಠ_ಠ

    • I went to the Central KFC (Sydney) one night and they had run out of chicken….and i'm not talking wait 15 minutes while we make some more, they had none left at all lol.

      • Was it a weekend?

    • YouTube "no fried chicken at KFC/Popeyes and see for yourself, be thankful no one rages like that for real here unless their on something

  • Thank you for the deal information. I will make my way to KFC but only when I have a surplus of two dollars

the sub and wrap were tiny :<

Neg from me. Just went to kfc and got 2 crispy subs. Both were without lettuce and with pepper mayo…..

        It is indeed, Sam

      • nice pics Sam….

  • I saw the popcorn chicken snack box and I have to say I'd rather walk over to maccas in the food court for a 2 dollar chicken n cheese or ddbl cheeseburger.

    • +7

      ddbl cheeseburger.

Easy enough, if you have a DeLorean handy :)

      • I don't get it.

        • +1

He's talking about the time machine from the movie Back To The Future.

Unavailability of the ddbl cheeseburger atm + time machine….. get it?

        • Oh right, damn I'm slow.

  • +3

Yeah this is totally Ozbargain-worthy considering the serious price-gouging at KFC.. $4.30 for large chips, tell him he's dreaming!

  • No chips on special? Anyone know the regular price for a small chips at kfc?

    • +2

The chips are overpriced if you get them separately. You could always get a snack box which has popcorn chicken and chips for $3.50 (I think).

  • Poor South Aussies :(

Crispy Sub is pretty sucky =\

Doesn't taste very nice, just bread and chicken pretty much…

Street wise double crunch meal for $5.95 represents much better value than 2x Crispy Subs + 1x popcorn chicken.

  • +1

Yes - the chicken fillet burgers are definitely smaller. I didn't eat KFC for several years and was so angry at the pathetic, tiny, burger I opened. The fillets used to be big, juicy, and they stuck out well beyond the bread roll… it was a meal in one wrapper. The size they are now (especially for the price) is a sad joke.

Actually, three weeks ago I bought one and it gave me food poisoning. I complained and received $40 in gift vouchers in the mail - so they could do it to me all over again - oh joy! :-\

    • +1

$40 gets you about 2 weeks worth of antibiotics, so it was a fair deal…

      • and quite possibly larger breasts and smaller testicles (if you're a bloke)

        maybe.

    • +6

how long before a chicken fillet burger is basically a "nugget in a bun" ?

      • Lol! Like Maccas their burgers are getting smaller too.

  • +1

had it this evening. They were all really small.
Popcorn chicken is a tiny tiny little box. BBQ wrap was barely bigger than my palm.
Crispy sub wasn't too bad… I'd consider one (or three) again.

    • You could see from the the picture that it was bird serving sizes.

  • +2

I reckon the best value for money is the crispy sub, I actually enjoyed that - had a nice tasting sauce to go with it.

  • +1

I know the deal doesn't say SA but maybe that's because our stores are owned by a different company here? I got the $2 crispy sub the other day from KFC Port Adelaide.

I tried every single item on that $2 menu and I found everyone of them were too expensive for my $2! This is definitely not a deal!
