Prefer getting instant savings from 10% off TCN/Ultimate gift card from Coles/WW this week
and ask JB/TGG/OW to price match Hardly Normal.
Never shop at HN unless absolutely no alternatives.

  • And Domayne (if that is easier to get to for you)

Gerry is offering 10% back in gift cards

Gerry is the reason we now pay 10% gst on every minor online purchase. Even putting this shithead's lengthy history of screwing over Australians aside, only masochistic mouth breathers still shop at this guy's shady stores. Most sane people just price match elsewhere considering HN sales staff have a history of making you go through manufacturer warranty prices for DOA purchases to avoid doing extra work.

considering HN sales staff have a history of making you go through manufacturer warranty prices for DOA purchases to avoid doing extra work.

And also sockpuppeting on OzB as recently as this week

      Negging due to:

      • Gerry ripping off taxpayers to fund his profitable business
      • Making me now need to pay 10% GST for all my overseas purchases

        Not going HN again

    • Well said. Haven't shopped at HN since. Really no need to given the keen competition they have. FU Gerry, FU.

      No it is not Gerry.

He has no power to enact any legislation in Australia.

It was Morrison and the lying Liberals who brought this change in.

      https://butlers.net.au/tax-update-gst-low-value-imports/

Anyone knows the Liberals look out for their big business mates. Look at the billions siphoned off during covid.

If you voted Liberal, you're at fault. Not Gerry.

      • +4

I think that you're misunderstanding what people mean. We know that Gerry isn't in government, but he applied pressure to the Liberals to implement the low value imports GST (no doubt via the obvious channels of donations, plus more sus ways of doing it).

        • And the Liberals listened and made the low value import tax happen! Gerry's arguments would've went nowhere if it wasn't for the high taxing Liberals.

      • +2

Um…yes it was Gerry. He started the campaign and funded it. And the government listened

Soooo you're a labour voter by the sound of it? Look at what they've done to the country! Besides, don't bring political crap into sales tactics. JH fu**ed over many Aussies by taking their tax $$ and screwing the market. Blame him, not the government.

        • Soooo you're a conservative voter by the sound of it? Well don't complain! You enabled this to happen.

          • -3

@arcticmonkey: Uhuh. Hug a tree and pass the peace pipe…. NOT!! It's all my fault by enabling Harvey to crap on the nation by ripping off the tax payer.

            • @teddiebear: LOL.

              "Hug a tree"?

Any hope of a reasoned argument is gone.

Back to Sky News and voting for conservative parties and then whining, little boy.

              • -1

@arcticmonkey: I don't even have a tv to watch crap like that. Don't have a radio, tv, don't read newspapers, no social media what so ever…. I lead a pretty ordinary and simple life.

  • Don't shop till it becomes "normally normal".

Got the 9th gen iPad for $425 on Amazon.

The problem with GerryCards is you gotta spend them at Gerrys. In the words of Jimmy You got nuthin I want, you got nuthin I need.

  • +4

Another FU Gerry. We don't need to support this scumbag. Just use for price matching if you must. Avoid.

  • +2

This is illegal. Anything called a gift card requires 3 years validity. If they called it promotional credit they would have been exempt

    https://www.accc.gov.au/business/advertising-and-promotions/…

Edit: ok, not the case. "part of a temporary marketing promotion" is an exclusion. Still, it's SO misleading

    It's Gerry. No deal

  • +3

    Do. NOT. do. this.

    :)

    My hearty advice.
