Gooloo GP2000 with 15% off as per https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/790441

Been holding out for one these as I missed out on the last Amazon deal.

Good price as $99.99 seemed to be a bargain before Gooloo jump starters disappeared from Amazon.

Is there a reason they’re not available through Amazon anymore?

Yeah I want to return my 3 junk ones. Before I could they disappeared. Anyhow these will last no more than 2 seasons. Their batteries puff up.

      • Maybe too many returns through Amazon. The Gooloo's warranty is only 18 months. I checked my GP4000 and it is 2 years 4 months old. So no more warranty, but the battery has not yet puffed up (I top it up once every few months).

  • No USB C?

    • There is

  • Does this work on a start-stop engine?

    • Yes, there is no difference. Just a higher CCA battery (AGM I think too) and a beefier starter motor. No difference for jumping it, perhaps needing 10-20% more beans than a non stop start car to get it going.

    • Yes, the Gooloo's work quite well with start stop ones, probably due to the lithium polymer packs which can supply more current than the lithium ion 18650 cells. Cars with start stop tend to come with more electronics just by the age of the car and its features. I've used other battery packs which work fine on 2000's cars, but can't start a 2015-era start stop car just because the electronics that turn on before you hit the start button or turn the key to start the engine end up draining the battery pack!
