Get the 12GB card over the 8GB card. At least in 3+ years time you can re-sell it for more or give it to someone else who can use it due to it having enough ram. The Vram issue is only going to get worse NOT better moving forward
Tough decision since DLSS is so much better than FSR you could keep the 3060Ti going longer with that but the VRAM might be an issue for newer games. I would say the answer isn't so clearcut on this one.
get 3070 for $550 (but been cheaper before). vram doesn't matter much unless you really need to play those boring console ports that have nothing to offer apart from mind boggling graphics

Not really.. its like 8% faster but uses 20% more power to get there so your paying more now and more while using it

I paid $599 for a Gigabyte Eagle 6700XT 12GB card in November-ish.
Just giving context.
I paid $499 for a RX6600 8GB card :) last year.. it was on sale and i thought it was a great price
I also paid $640 for a RX6600XT in 2021 on release day
