All you need to do is restring like 200 rackets and boom this baby pays for itself slaps top of l stringing machine

My boss plays 10 hours of tennis a week, he has to restring every 1-2 weeks depending on racquet rotation.
He also has 2 kids that play tennis 7 hours per week and he restrings their racquets every 6 weeks.

So for some people it does make sense. He paid about $2,000 for a stringing machine so it paid for itself pretty quick.

      • How much does restringing normally cost?

        • I charge $30-$35 inc strings out in Sunbury. Stores are around $50

less than 20 hours of use?
So as a species we can consider putting humans on the moon again (after having done it before), but we can't make string that lasts longer than 20 hours…… !???

        • Is August stupid-comparison month? Why do I have to find out via this sort of method?

        • Strings can last more than 20hrs, just that the sensitive players believe the strings have loosened too much and they can't play with it anymore.

However, being an OZbargainer, I can't justify cutting my strings when they still work perfectly fine. Only when they are seriously 'dead dead', then I cut them.
We're not Federer or Nadal or Djoker…. but I guess some players think they are!

@blacknwhite1: My boss is a very spin heavy player, he breaks strings every 20 hours or so but says they are dead after about 10 hours but won't cut them out. He isn't pro level but I can't even return his serves so I can only imagine how pro players go through strings.

The photo seems to show the stringing being done by hand. Is this another one of those scammy stringing machine rackets?

Speaking from experience, you do need one top and one bottom to really have a good time.
