40% off Brazil/Guatemala SO, 500g from $14.99, 1kg from $26.39 + Delivery ($0 w/ $69 Order, DelayDispatchOpt) @ Lime Blue Coffee

1670

Hey Oz Bargain Community,

Two pieces of exciting news (well I'm excited):
1) The launch of today's deal is to celebrate bringing back a featured rotating Single Origin we found many people to be quite fond of, it's our Guatemala Ayarza. It's been over a year since we've had any available, so I'm wrapped that we've been able to secure some more supply (albeit a relatively small supply) of this terrific coffee. As a brief reintroduction to this SO…it's beautifully sweet, with a soothing gentle kick to it, chocolate on show, then praline pecan with a slightly fruity finish

2) I'm happy to announce we've just opened up our August and September delayed dispatch schedule for you. As we had multiple requests during our most recent Brazil deal to open up August dispatch we've decided to include Brazil in this deal too, so everyone's got the opportunity to plan ahead while making the most of this deal pricing

We're offering you a 40% discount off our much loved Brazil São Paulo Single Origin and newly launched Guatemala Ayarza Single Origin:

1) Brazil São Paulo Single Origin, only $14.99 per 500g (usually $24.99 per 500g), and $26.39 per 1kg (usually $43.98 per 1kg)

2) NOW SOLD OUT Guatemala Ayarza Single Origin, only $15.59 per 500g (usually $25.99 per 500g), and $27.59 per 1kg (usually $45.98 per 1kg)

Deal valid for orders placed until 13/08/2023, unless sold out before. You can pick from the available green circle dispatch dates on the cart page. Dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday and as far as the last Thursday in September. Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting
  • One dispatch per order
  • If you select 500g as a quantity please ensure you also select 500g as the packaging option. If 500g is selected as a quantity with 1kg as the packaging selection the product will show as "unavailable"
  • 500g bag packaging (it's resealable) is also available for orders larger than 500g this is an extra $3.60 per kg including the discount (normally $6 extra per kg) to cover the extra bag/s, label/s and time it takes to pack
  • Complimentary gift notes can be written in the designated space on the cart page."
  • The largest bag size we use is 1kg and it has a zip (it's resealable), for example if you order 4kg with 1kg packaging you will receive 4 x 1kg bags, you will not receive a single huge 4kg bag.

Following the success of our recent trials of new shipping rates, we've decided to extend these for this deal too :)
FREE SHIPPING for orders over $69. We recommend freezing any excess bags purchased to quality for free shipping, without compromising on enjoying fresh coffee.

    • Hey @Chazzozz love the attitude and thank you so much for another fantastic order!

I've just adjusted the allocation (as we were only able to secure a finite amount of the Guat SO) of quantities in each category, so if you're still extra keen on 500g simply send a reply email to your order confirmation with the request and we'll make that it happen for you. That said this Guatemala SO is delicious, so I have a hunch you'll have no problem churning through the 1kg :)

  • Don't forget the Tim Tam. :-p

Don't need anymore coffee currently but been a repeat customer so can highly recommend to this community.

    • Of course, can't forget the all important Tim Tam!

Thank you truly for your vote of confidence @Maestrok and your continued patronage, it really does mean so much :)

  • Any chance of a discount on decaf? I don't even like putting it through my machine but the wife seldom drinks it. I just can't bring myself to paying double the price for something that sits on the counter fro twice as long as my SO. 😂

    • Just ordered a kilo of each Guatemala and Brazil SO, stacked with half a kg of decaf.

Decaf gets me every time… Blasphemy!!

      • +1

What a terrific combo order @db87 thank you so much!

Your decaf comments made me laugh a bit, have you actually tried it or just written it off based on it being Decaf?

        • @LimeBlueCoffee the decaf is for the wife! Our drink orders couldn't be any more opposed if they tried….

          Me - double shot macchiato/espresso.
          Wife - decaf soy/almond latte.

I'll concede though, it does taste (equally) beautiful, BUT, why drink decaf if I can sink a regular doppio espresso at any time of the day and still fall asleep in under a minute? 🤔 😂

  • Ordered 1 kg. Thanks!

    • Fantastic @ddhytz thank you so much!

  • Keen to try the Guatemala Ayarza, I've been happy with all the other roasts so far (fav being the Kenya CM).

Anyone know what the best deal is on V60 filters? The Amazon JP a little while ago was already done by the time I got around to it.

    • +1
      • Cheers, guess bulk from Amazon JP is still better than local even when not on sale?

    • +1

Hey @Diji terrific to hear how much you've enjoying our fresh coffee so much and that you're keen on our Guatemala, thank you so much for another order!

Hmm if you want specifically Hario branded filters you're likely looking at roughly $0.09-$0.13 per filter purchased in packs of 100. If you just want paper filters to suit a V60 and aren't too fussed about the brand then you could try going to a Daiso Japan store, sometimes they have good pricing on paper filters :)

      • Good call, didn't even think to check at Daiso!

    40% off Brazil|Guatemala

no deal. It would be 90% off in Turkey

  • Enjoyed the Colombia Cauca a few months back, any deals on that coming up? These ones seem a bit less fruity, which is my preference for aeropress/black…

    • +1

Hey @michaelroper fantastic to hear how much you've enjoyed our Colombia Cauca, that sure is a special one!

You are correct, these ones are a bit closer towards the chocolate end of the flavour scale. We currently have enough stock on hand of any full price orders of our Colombia Cauca if you wanted to get a small bag to tie you over at full RRP, in terms of having the volume needed for a deal on that one, we've already reached out to the importer to see if we can secure some more supply in the future, time will tell :)

      • Thanks Tom - waiting in anticipation!

        • :)

  • Thanks Tom!

    • You're most welcome @iheartbargains :)

  • Ordered a kg of both (delayed delivery). I’ll also test out this freezing malarkey!

    • +1

Fantastic @giu thank you so much for that terrific combo order, it really does mean a lot to us!

I'm glad you're going to test out freezing, it's a real game changer :)

  • Hey Tom,

Are you mates with Dan from Airjo or are you bitter rivals? Maybe you are the same people? Airjo = Lime Blue?

    • +9

haha your questions make me smile @giu :)

I don't know anyone from that other company and have no feelings about them one way or another. You can only do your personal best in life, so the only person I compete against is myself, striving to make the best I'm capable of achieving greater tomorrow than is it today. As such, Lime Blue Coffee is the only company on my mind in this moment!

      • “That other company” doesn’t even want to acknowledge their name….Coffee wars!

        • haha another laugh on this side of the screen, thanks @giu !

I have no ill will towards any other coffee company :)

  • Hey Tom, im getting out of stock for the Guatemalan. Is that right or an error? Was looking forward to try it after reading your description.

    • For some reason i couldnt order 1kg in a 1kg bag but i could order 1kg in 2 500gram bags. Its a couple $ more but still a great price.

      • Hmm that's strange, someone else experience the same thing a little while ago, but they tried again a couple of minutes later and it worked perfectly…I wonder if a product gets temporarily allocated from the stock available when someone gets past the checkout page and if they decide to change their selection it becomes available again? I was under the impression that until someone hits the final pay button the product remains available. Could you please do me a favour and try again in 2 minutes? Appreciate your patience in advance!

Happy to know you're still happy with the 500g packaging option, it's an easy way to extend the freshness as you can be enjoying one bag while keeping the other in the freezer :)

    • Hey @haggertm appreciate you taking the time to reach out and I'm exciting to hear you're looking forward to trying it!

All selection variation are currently available, some less than others because today we've sold more than 70% of the Guat we've been able to secure, so I keep rejigging the quantities of each variation as some get lower than others. Could you please let me know the exact selection you were trying to make e.g. 2kg (quantity)|beans (size)|500g bags (packaging)?

      • That makes sense. I was trying to get 1kg of whole beans in a 1kg bag. I tried a few times but was getting the same error code. Then i checked if 2x 500 gram bags would work and that worked fine.

        • 1 x 1kg works for me just have to nominate the dispatch date.
          Still not sure what's best!

          • @G-rig: Morning @G-rig great news to hear you aren't seeing an an error message!

Could you please further clarify you "Still not sure what's best!?" If that a talking outload statement, a question about the two different coffees in the deal or a reference to your prior comments about freezing coffee (I promise all comment on the deal I'll reply to, it just may take a little bit of time to get to them all) :)

            • @LimeBlueCoffee: Hey mate, no worries at all.

Yes was just wondering about freezing but sounds like it's fine.
Don't know if it's worth freezing to order 2.5kg or just get one to start with.

It sounds like the Brazil single origins are the ones to get.

              Cheers,
Ps. I'm lucky to get through 1kg per month.

              • +1

                @G-rig: @G-rig appreciate your patience!

It's really up to you, in terms of what will suit you best. On a personal level my freezer always has coffee in it. Some is for continued testing of how effective freezing is, but most of the coffee I freeze if there's a really special coffee we have no more of as I like to treat myself to different coffees on the weekend and enjoy our readily available products on weekdays from recent batches I roast. If you have the space in your freezer and don't mind ordering a bit more than you'd likely need in a month to save on the shipping then I'd recommend getting the 2.5kg. You'll save shipping costs, save life admin (placing multiple orders and tracking multiple deliveries), and it also means you have a bit of a buffer to ensure you don't run out of the good stuff e.g. as soon as the last bag leaves your freezer it's likely a good idea to order more.

Our Brazil SO sure is a crowd favourite, but our Guat is delicious as well and will likely completely sellout very soon. Perhaps you could get 2kg in 500g bags (if freezing) of our Brazil SO and 500g of our Guat SO to mix it up a bit :)

                • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks for your reply and insight. I may as well do that then, as long as you think it will keep 2-3 months :)
Should be a nice change from the Aldi beans, but they are great for the price to be honest.

ps. it's just a matter of dispatching soon or waiting a week or so.

        • Morning @haggertm glad we're on the same page!

Appreciate the feedback, I just checked and was able to add 1*1kg to the cart. Would you mind trying again now? If you get the error message again could you please send a screenshot and email it to [email protected] ? Just a heads up the we have less than 10% of our Guatemala still available, so if you have the time I'd recommend jumping on your order sooner rather than later. Appreciate your patience and resistance in advance :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Hi Tom,
I just checked and it worked for me that time. Ive already ordered the 2x500gram bags though so wont put the order through.

            • @haggertm: Hey @haggertm thank you for taking the time to let me know all if well on your browser and also for striking while the iron was hot and shooting through your order earlier, sincerely appreciated!

I think 2*500g bags are a terrific way to get maximum enjoyment from our fresh coffee, as you can put one bag in the freezer while you're enjoying the other. Of course I can appreciate this does slightly increase the price per kg and every dollar does add up. Given you experienced a browser error initially, if you would prefer 1x1kg instead of 2x500g bags please send a reply email to your order confirmation today and we'll make the change (process a refund for the difference) to your order for you :)

  • Hi Tom,

Was hoping to try both in 500g sizes, however noted that only Brazil is available as ground, but Guatemala is only beans. Any reasons for this? Any chance we could order pre-ground Guatemala?

    • +1

Hey @powerhead appreciate you taking the time to reach out to check, never hurts to ask!

We were only able to secure a relatively limited supply (as you may have noticed our Guat was fairly popular and sold out in only 2 days), as such we had to limit the amount of SKU's available to ensure we didn't oversell our supply. I can appreciate the convenience of not needing to grind the coffee yourself. However, if you're open to buying a grinder yourself (I think a good hand grinder is a terrific starting point, I personally started with a little Porlex) I highly recommend it, your flavour enjoyment will improve ten fold compared to pre-ground coffee and you'll be able to try all our coffees regardless of how much supply we're able to secure :)

  • Why is this so popular? I bought some to find out, but I'm keen to know why this is rocketing to front page.

    • +1

Honestly, the best bang for the buck speciality beans. Owner is very responsive and transparent, delayed despatch is available and rotating beans so there's always something new to try.

    • +1

They also give you free Tim Tams. Its one per order but if you ask REAL NICE they'll give you one per bag of coffee.

  • Thanks Tom I’m a big fan of LBC and great service. Compliments my Synchronikia/eureka atom setup.

    • +1

Fantastic to hear @Captain Hindsight I'm so happy to know we're in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such complimentary feedback!

p.s. very nice setup for home :)

  • Hi Tom,
On checkout the price for Guatemala Ayarza is coming higher than what you have advertised here.

    • Hey @workworkwork appreciate the double check, never hurts to ask :)

I just checked 500g and 1kg, both appear to be correct, could you please let me know the specific variation you've selected and the price you are seeing?

      • Thanks for checking, i noticed after order had gone through. ORDER #36481

        • Thank you for the info your terrific combo order, it's sincerely appreciated!

I thought you were talking about a price showing before the order was completed; for anything related to a specific order please send us a reply email to your order confirmation. I've had a look at that order number and can confirm the prices are correct. I have a hunch you on the deal description you are looking at the 1kg bag price AKA 1x1kg bag for the 2kg portion of your order, but the order placed was for 2kg in 500g bags AKA 4x500g bags. I hope my response clarifies the prices for you :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Gotcha, it defaulted to 500gm bags.

            • @workworkwork: Sure thing @workworkwork for future reference it's always good to double check the selection and pricing on the cart page because if you use an express payment option e.g. PayPal or Apple Pay, this can result in skipping a few page steps after the cart page and before you know it the order is processed. If you use a bank card for the payment then there'll be three more pages (shipping address, then shipping type selection, then payment details) that each show the pricing and specific product variation selected before your final checkout is completed.

With the packaging selection order it needs to show 500g bags and then 1kg bag/s because if they're shown the other way around when someone clicks 500g as the quantity they'll see a message saying "unavailable" because we don't offer 500g of beans packed into a 1kg bag. Good news is it's really easy to choose between the two packaging sizes on each product page :)

              • @LimeBlueCoffee: Is it possible for the default packaging option to be 1kg or for it be more easily identifiable that you can change the packaging size? As I find, even now after a few orders, I can gloss over it.

                • @Jacko1235: Hey @Jacko1235 appreciate the feedback!

As mentioned to @workworkwork above "With the packaging selection order it needs to show 500g bags and then 1kg bag/s because if they're shown the other way around when someone clicks 500g as the quantity they'll see a message saying "unavailable" because we don't offer 500g of beans packed into a 1kg bag. Good news is it's really easy to choose between the two packaging sizes on each product page :)"

I understand it's tempting to rush through life admin and just fire off an order as quickly as possible and I do appreciate all your orders with us (thank you truly). There's several places to identify your selection throughout the ordering process…on the product page there's the price difference and menu title "packaging," you're shown your selection on the cart page, each of the checkout pages and then finally on your order confirmation email. I do have one idea which may address your query while still preventing 500g quantity defaulting to "unavailable." With acknowledgment for my above comments regarding why the order of packaging needs to be 500g bags followed by 1kg bags on the menu I'm all ears for any suggestions you have, if you have a specific idea in mind please let me know?

                  • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks for sharing the internal behind the scenes reason as to why. Maybe a UI change to make the packaging stand out that it can be changed?

  • Just wondering… which method is used for the free shipping? Thanks!

    • Hey @benandfaith appreciate you reaching out to check!

That depends on what your order is, where it's going and when it's dispatched. The carrier for the free shipping option and $6.99 no delivery company preference shipping is determined by an automatic algorithm based on several factors that change regularly. With the free shipping you'll end up with either Australia Post, Couriers Please or a private delivery network. Sorry I can't give you can exact carrier for the free shipping option right now. Are you just curious or is there a specific carrier you want/don't want for a particular reason?

      • Thanks for your reply!

I just ordered anyway (2.5kg of Brazil and Guatemala). Was just curious whether it might be express or not. Am needing to plan if I need to buy more beans before yours arrive!

        • Sure thing @benandfaith thank you so much for that fantastic combo order, it's sincerely appreciated!

That makes sense, don't want you running out of the good stuff. If you let me know your postcode I'll be able to give you a very rough estimate on transit time?

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks for connecting with us directly through these comments. I'm at Qld 4068.

            • @benandfaith: Morning @benandfaith sure thing, appreciate the extra info!

I just checked for you and the ETD is 3 and 4 business days across carriers, I believe this likely means 2-4 business days for delivery from VIC to QLD 4068 :)

  • +1

No grind option for the Guatemala SO?

    • Hey @andrewlai appreciate the query!

We were only able to secure a relatively small amount of the Guatemala, as such we needed to restict the SKU variants to ensure we didn't oversell it. It's lucky we keep such a close eye on our SKU structure because the Guat flew out the door at lightning speed, selling out in only 2 days :)

  • It's hard to order when you want it delivered to a parcel locker. Ordering form only allows addresses from a database.

    • @Gpro sincerely appreciate the feedback!

That's surprising to hear because we're still getting a number of orders to parcel lockers and incorrect addresses too e.g. people writing their capital city instead of suburb which means there's a high chance if not corrected the parcel will be marked "return to sender" by the delivery company. When you get a sec could you please send an email to [email protected] with a screenshot of the issue you're experiencing so we can jump into ASAP resolution mode for you?

  • First time Lime blue buyer here, bought 2.5kg. Thanks for the deal Tom! Just to clarify, if 500g bags of x 2 selected of sao paulo, meant to be slightly more than 1kg bag?

    • +1

Hey @booze101 fantastic to hear, thank you so much for placing such a terrific first order, it's an opportunity we won't take for granted!

"500g bag packaging (it's resealable) is also available for orders larger than 500g this is an extra $3.60 per kg including the discount (normally $6 extra per kg) to cover the extra bag/s, label/s and time it takes to pack"

Appreciate the double check, that is correct, 2x500g bags cost a bit more than 1x1kg bag as it costs us more in packaging, labels and most importantly time (it takes more than double the time to pack) :)

  • Hi Tom

    Order #36574

I believed I have bought some beans from you. However, I could not see my order history. Did I get the same beans like last time?

    Cheers

    • Hey @kollier thank you so much for another terrific order, it's truly appreciated!

When you get a sec it'd be great if you could please send a reply email to your order confirmation with your query? This email system guarantees we're looking up the correct order (autocorrect can mess things up) and create a more private forum if we need personal information provided by you, for example, if you use alternate emails or names for order.

  • +1

You can save an additional 1c if you add two 500g beans to cart seperately ($29.98 for Brazil) rather than 1kg in 500g bags ($29.99).

You're welcome everyone, hope this doesn't bankrupt you Tom

    • Oh noooo @FrugalFrella now you've revealed the secret rounding menu I bet I'm going to get an unhappy call from the bank first thing in the morning demanding I figure out how to charge prices to 3 decimal places!!!

p.s. we know every dollar adds up, so you're welcome to continue sharing any hidden surprises you find on our site :)

  • Keen to try the new Guatamala

Delayed dispatch is great, I was able to re adjust my current kilo I'm almost out of and have a delayed dispatch coming on the 10th, so that's a great option for me, I pre pay it and it gets sent out at a later time.

I've had issues with delivery and that's all the crap Australia Post delivery service, even when paying the express option.
My last parcel sat for 5 days without moving. Tom chased it up and it was suddenly delivered.
Other delivery issues, Tom has resent me out another kilo and express post again….all the issues come from our illustrious Australia Post.
Tom is great to deal with, great coffee and I keep ordering

    • guess just order sooner than later and can always freeze?
      Got about 300-400g left.

    • Hey @Spending2Much thank you so much for sticking with us and placing another terrific order, it really does mean a great deal!

I sincerely appreciate your wonderful, complimentary, vote of confidence and I'm wrapped to know that we're still in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there and never to take your patronage for granted :)

  • I thought SO stood for significant other and got excited.

    • +1

haha @Lurk Hartog when I write "SO" by itself a small part of me always thinks "I hope the reader knows I mean "single origin" and doesn't think I'm rudely shouting "SO (what)" at them :)"

  • Do you have a deal for decaf? Please?

    • Hey @bluedufflecoat appreciate you asking in such a nice way!

Generally speaking we need to increase our stock holdings of products featured on a deal, so we usually can't just add an extra product mid deal as we wouldn't have enough of the extra product's stock on hand. We currently just have enough decaf to fulfil any full priced orders. Perhaps you could place an order for a small bag of our Decaf now to tie you over and then whenever our next Decaf deal goes live make the most of the deal pricing by placing several orders via our unique scheduled dispatch system :)

      • Thanks for the tip. I ordered about a week ago and it got delivered on Thursday. I'll keep in mind for next time.

  • Looking forward to giving it a go!

    • Fantastic @PleasureMachine thank you so much for your order!

I hope you love our fresh coffee :)

  • Just want to say thanks and ordered 4 kg to go into freezer. Love the delay dispatch for a month out as I still have 1 kg left.

    • Wouldnt delay it too long. Near 30C here already. Wouldnt be ideal sitting in an Aussie Post truck for a couple of days!!

      • +1

@tunzafun001 you're right that sitting in a random truck in the sun wouldn't be ideal!

Good news is that's not how our unique scheduled dispatch system works. We roast and dispatch to order e.g. if you place an order today and select dispatch for 5 September, then your coffee will remain as green/raw coffee until around the 5/9, within 48 business hours of 5/9 we'll roast up your order and dispatch it on 5/9 nice and fresh :)

        • +1

Yep fully understand. But in some parts of Australia the coffee will be in a 50C truck by September 5. I suggest buying earlier and sticking it in the freezer.
Great service though for Vic/ Canberra/ Tazzy (different planet in terms of weather mid August).

          • @tunzafun001: I am in Sydney and haven't had any issues re delivery being delayed so I must have been lucky (48 hours) . I also don't have james Hoffman palate… But yes I can see why coffee delivery in summer may be dicey if something goes wrong

    • +1

Hey @Faithgrrl amazing order thank you so much, it's truly appreciated!

Very happy to hear we're in your good books and that you're a fan of our unique scheduled/delayed dispatch system. Love your planning ahead skills :)

  • Hey op, no lovely deals for the Colombia huila? The Cauca one wasnt as good. I think last time we ordered huila was last year! Thanks

    • Yeah. I mistakenly thought it was the cauca I loved but getting another kg recently… It was good but not amazing.

Looked through my orders and it was the Huila!

      • Morning @fusion17 I'm glad to hear you thought the Cauca was good!

As mentioned to @takemymoney we sold out of the Huila earlier this year and there's still no more supply for us to secure at present. The difference between the Cauca and Huila doesn't really come down to quality, it's more a case of personal flavour preference. I absolutely love both of them, but if I really had to pick a personal favourite of the two based purely on flavour I'd go for the Cauca just because I enjoy the combination of a Washed process with some of the fruity elements of a Natural. In other words it's a clean coffee with slightly more prominent fruity undertones than the Huila. However, that in no way takes away from how delicious the Huila is which also has the same main properties just presented in a slightly different way and it's outstandingly clean in flavour almost on the level of a high quality Washed Kenya from that aspect :)

    • Hey @takemymoney appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

The Huila sold out back in February and I believe we'd purchased the remaining stock of it in Australia at the time. Last I checked that one is still tapped out (I do keep tabs on that one to see we'll be able to secure more supply) in Australia in terms of supply, so it doesn't look like we'll have any deals on that specific coffee any time in the near future. I can assure you from a pure quality perspective the Cauca is basically on par with the Huila and so are the flavours. What was unique about the Huila was that it was Double Washed Processed, the results of this are a more crisp flavour, as such it slightly changes how the flavours are experience. From the sounds of your comment your personal flavour preference trends slight more towards a little higher acidity, a little bit less fruity and cleaner lines of flavour notes, which are the primary differences with the Huila mainly as a result of the extra processing :)

  • Hey Tom,

I tried emailing you early yesterday about altering dispatch date (tomorrow). Could you please let me know if it's reached you. 🤞

    1kg Guatemala
    1kg Brazil
    500g Decaf

    Order # 36417

    • +1

I've received, replied to your email and actioned your request, so now you're all set!

Don't stress too much if you don't hear back instantly via email, it just means we're flat chat. If you email us with enough notice to make a change and we're able to, then it'll happen for you no problems at all :)

      • That's all I was concerned about hence why I shot it off the first chance I got Monday morning! 😝

I'm not opposed to freezing beans but as per my reply email, delayed dispatch is a game changer and there's absolutely no reason for having beans sit around on the shelf.

Thanks for getting onto it, much appreciated!

  • Hey Tom, you still doing free Tim Tams with the coffee orders? Or was that a once off?
