@Neoika: I have a Coles MasterCard credit card so am enrolled in their financial rewards program. I've had the $10 redemption for years.

                  • @wavesgreen: OK, I think everyone in WA can redeem 2k points once per day without conversion now.

                    • @Neoika: Cool, cool. I've always been able to redeem $10 off once per transaction, as many times a day as I have points to cover.

In fact, there's an occasional glitch sometimes where in the 24hrs before/after earning/redeeming 2000 points, if I do another shop it will give me the pop-up at the register eventhough I don't have more than 2000 points in my balance.

I've gone into negative points more times than I can remember. I was negative just before the recent 10,000 points over 4-weeks spend deal. And now this ColesMC gift card deal and I'm swimming in points again.

@Neoika: There is a trial going on in WA, SA, NT, TAS and selected NSW and QLD stores where you can instantly redeem 2,000 points for a $10 discount at Coles.

(A Flybuys rep told me it is a trial.)

  • Can anybody confirm if I can use the coles group
and myer gift card to purchase this? Or even the vanilla visa one? Also, is the Shopback Supermarket Activ Visa Card you guys are talking about the gift card named "Shopback Supermarket" on shopback? Thank you..

Tested a Coles Egift card from SB yesterday and did not work.
Yes it is the Shopback supermarket card.

I swiped a Coles Group & Myer gift card on Wednesday when purchasing a Coles Mastercard gift card at a self checkout, and it triggered:

      • The Invalid Product Mix error on the EFTPOS terminal, and
      • A message on the checkout screen saying I was purchasing an item that cannot be paid for using a gift card.

I tried using a Vanilla Visa gift card as a payment method for a Coles Mastercard gift card back in October 2022 and it triggered the Invalid Product Mix error, so I would be surprised if it worked now. If it somehow worked now, you would still have to go through the signature verification process at Coles to authorise the transaction, and it would be pot luck whether the staff member will actually approve such a request.

Thanks.. so the best workaround for vanilla is to use it to buy shopback supermarket then use that to purchase the coles mastercard.
