        Yes, they are exactly the same. I read in a previous deal that they were forced to change the name due to copyright.

          Can't run a 12v fridge though which was a shame.

    Even the OzB popular Gooloo jump starters died (batteries puffed) after 12 months. Tis one is much cheaper.

      I wouldn't think so. The voltage would be around 12V, whereas a battery charger would be around 14.5V.
      If your battery has a higher voltage than this jump starter, then the power will flow away from your battery and into the jump starter. If the jump starter has a higher voltage, it will slowly transfer power to the battery, but at the same time, the battery voltage will start to go up, and the jump starter voltage will start to go down, until they are both at the same voltage. As such it would not be very effective as a battery charger.
      The jump starter is useful, as normally when you start your car, the battery voltage drops, so the jump starter now has a higher voltage, and adds to the starting capacity.
      Also the jump starter has a capacity of 20Ah (I am assuming at 12V), so this is likely to be much smaller than the capacity of your battery.

    How long do they last normally?
    I've got a older SCA lead acid jumpstarter that no longer takes much charge and its only 3-4 years old and I want to replace it with something with a long shelf life.

      I've had my Gooloo 2000 for around 3 years with no issues, probably used around 20 times and has sat in the boot most of the time. charged it recently with no battery puffing, each time it's been used it's worked a charm.

      Lithium ion batteries don't deal with heat or vibration too well so if you don't store it inside your car in summer or drive on KMs of rocky roads it should in theory last many years if the (3-4) cells from the factory are good. Rapid charging/discharging is unkind also, so frequent use may wear these out quicker than eg. a powerbank.
