Don’t know what the sale is for, but noticed this discounted down from $1799. Code brings it down a further 5%. Looks like a new low for a new model.

Hey if it helps anyone that was hoping to pick up one of the AW3423DWF; I just contacted support using online chat and managed to negotiate the price down to $1309.

    • which one is considered better?

      • +1

DW has actual G-Sync unit and is able to run 10bit colour at 144Hz whereas for DWF is FreeSync and for some odd reason will only run at 100Hz if you want 10bit colour (though you can get around it by tweaking with CRU). With DWF you can update firmware yourself whereas it’s locked with DW and you have to send it back to Dell. DW fans ramp up louder and more often according to reviews but a lot of users said they don’t notice it. Apart from that it’s the same panel.

        • appreciate the write up.

supposedly freesync premium is on par with the G-Sync unit and the CRU tweaks work pretty well so DWF seems like the winner.

now to try my luck with live chat..

          • @jrjr: No worries mate, like with no effort they straight up offered me $1320 so I’m sure you’ll get a good price too.

    • How did you negotiate it down further?

      • Copy and pasting my response from another post:

“Hmm nothing special really, was just trying to be polite the entire interaction and acknowledged the fact that the rep probably get bombarded with price requests, she asked if I was a student or corporate employee to which I said I was not but I do run a small business (I do photography as side hustle), she asked for the business name etc and I showed her my website and she came back after a while with $1320 which I thanked her for but asked for an even $1300, she then finally came back with $1309 at which point I doubt they'd be willing to go lower.”

  • has anyone received their order yet?

    • I got an email at 9pm today which changed the delivery estimate from today to the 23rd :/

      • Where are you located? I haven’t even received any communications from Dell. I ordered it on 05/08

    • mines on board for delivery today (Perth)

      • when did you order? On Dell's website, it says my ETA is today but doesn't look like it's coming today because 6pm already

        • the day the deal was posted, so 1 week all up

    • I called Dell Support today because it was estimated to be delivered today (11/8) and it hadn't even shipped yet. I ordered on the 7th.

They told me there's "insufficient stock" and got back to me with an email later on saying they are having supply constraints, and that the new estimated ship date for me is 18/8.

      • That's not cool. At least there should be some communication from them. I guess I would have to call them tomorrow

      • Same here

  • Dell delivery is generally terrible. I often order from Dell and they will usually give me an estimate of 1 month, and they'll deliver sometimes in 1 month, sometimes in 5 months, and sometimes they will lose my order, then 1 year after order they will ask me to pay for it again.

I still use them for my business because of the quality, but the delivery and support is some of the worst you will ever deal with.

That said, great price for this monitor so I ordered and I look forward to it arriving in the next few years.
