Hello. Thanks for joining and making this post, I can imagine it must have been a stressful day. Errors do happen.

Could I ask the total number of units that had been ordered by the seagulls here at OzBargain? Also, what is the highest amount ordered in a single order?

Last question: Did anybody phone up asking for pickup, hoping you wouldn't find out it was a price error? Was his name JV?

    • +1

Definitely still no email for me. Will wait and reach out after 24hrs. :)

Did you receive your order confirmation?
If so please reply to this and we will come back to you straight away.

        • +1

I got order confirmation (order id 85216) and payment deducted via Paypal. But no cancellation email yet.

          • +1

@fearofmissingout: I didn’t receive a cancellation email but I login to their website and checked. It showed as cancellation but no refund yet

        • I got cancellation email but no refund email

        • @berloniappliances, loooks like you still have bugs in your system cause I too received confirmation order email but no cancellation email.

          Order #85762

  • I saw they had a 4.9 on google reviews. Whats the chances people will write a negative review…

    • +10

I hope they don't. It was clearly an error and we all went in anticipating a cancellation.

      • +2

It's got two 1-star reviews now unfortunately

        • +9

Jeez, what absolute scum of people we have on here sometimes aye.

Let's hope they never make a mistake that someone else takes them up on

        • -1

Some NSW person, Aoyama Sho… leaves lots of public negative reviews.

I've reported both two star reviews as being unhelpful.

    • This comment probably reminded them to write a bad review

  • +1

    haha!

If I was the owner of this business, I would have fulfilled all (at a guess) 672 orders through Miele and just not paid for the stock and gone into administration.

I'd rather be the captain of the Titanic than the shameful captain of the Costa Concordia.

    • +1

haha what a bond saying man.
You know if you were in that position, you probably would have thought of firing chloe the one caused this pricing error at start, (or deduct some of her promotions)

      • Has anybody checked on her well-being?

@berloniappliances , can you let us know how Chloe is doing? R She OK?

        • +1

          Probably taken stress leave.

          /s

          • +1

@xoom: If there is any Chloe, She is from Miele (as per the phone number given in comments), Not from Berloni Appliances.
All retailers of such gas cooktops, are setting up their prices directly from what Miele tells them what to advertise (Source- conversation with other retailers).
I doubt that Mielie responsible for website pricing on this particular retailer, (instead Berloni appliances are responsible for this error as they are/were the advertiser and retailer).

            • +2

@USER DC: The phone number given was our main landline number and yes all pricing for Miele products is controlled and determine by Miele as an agency brand.

              • @berloniappliances: really? when i called they did not recognise that my order number said its too short, and i need to contact retailer to get the bigger number.

Well, I guess your staff was really pissed that day and just wanted to make any reasonable excuse to not make matters worse, and take care of Chloe.
                anyway good afternoon.

                • +1

@USER DC: Hi, Sorry I think you have misunderstood.

We do not have a Chloe working for us, but a previous post listed said we do and had our landline number listed (which has since been removed).

If you had called Miele directly they have a different order number and would not regconise our online order number.

Anyone that called us were advised of the situation straight away.

Hope this clarifies this for you, have a great afternoon also.

            • @USER DC:

If there is any Chloe, She is from Miele

Stress leave is stress leave wherever Chloe hails from.

        • +6

Very disappointing that someone has made up Chloe and a $10 VISA bonus that was never offered to that person.

  • +1

    Refunded today 😢

    • -1

      Sorry for your loss :(

In times like this, I wonder why the word 'FUN' appears in 'reFUNded' - it's not fun at all

  • +14

    All refunds have been completed.

It was really disappointing to have received a couple of negative reviews for orders that were refunded and communicated straight away.

We cannot be more apologetic for the glitch which was out of control.

I guess the people that have done this do not realise the effect this has on a business and on a personal level for all involved.

Our sincerly apologies again to anyone that did place an order and was inconvenienced in any way and thank you for your understanding.

    • One of them going by Aoyama Sho could also be 'Frank' FYI. Check your records and send them poop in the mail.

    • +2

Nah it's all good, the way you guys handled the situation makes me feel like we're dealing with real people and not robots.

      • +7

Thanks a lot, we really appreciate the people that were understanding and supportive of the situation.

We would like to extend to anyone that needs any assistance after this, that we would really like to help.

And that we will go above and beyond as a sign of our appreciation. Thanks again

    • +4

As an fyi I reported the 2 Google reviews. That's just shameful from them. I hope your business picks back up

      • +2

Thanks a lot, we really appreciate you taking the time to do that.

  • +2

Are people really getting upset over an obvious price error?

Get over it, you didn't need it in the first place. If you NEEDED a cooktop, you would have bought one already.

    • +2

Having been a member since 2014 thought you would have seen the behaviour of some of the members.

Acting like the shop kicked their dog for not honouring a price error.

      • +1

Thanks @xoom & @hasher22 for your support and understanding here.
