Thanks for copying the first line of my deal description, JV

Pretty much every restaurant around our area that was on the Entertainment Book a couple of years back, has now disappeared
Not really worth it any more (unless it costs 99 cents)

I have saved over $700 this year on free tickets / restaurant discounts. when friends want to go out I just choose one from the book. its times i would have gone out to eat anyway. Im in WA if this helps and theres heaps of locations.

      • when friends want to go out I just choose one from the book.

we have zero to choose from in our area now. There used to be about 10.

      • Agreed I’m in WA (south of river) and each subscription nets me at least $60 worth of savings (bought at $0.99).

      • It has much fewer discount restaurants in WA as well. But still worth the price you can easily save $70 a year.

      • Agreed. A lot of shops in my area (Perth SOR). Most taverns were included (which we frequent at least once a fortnight). Not disappointed with the selection. I would say though not many asian restaurants.

      • I've saved at least 5x the purchase price as well I got the promo where they offered you the national book which has helped save a lot during travel.

That’s just plain bad luck. I am still saving small fortunes out of it on nice stuff that I wouldn’t normally afford, eg 2 nice eye fillet dinners last night for half price.

      • saving small fortunes out of it on nice stuff that I wouldn’t normally afford,

Sounds like you are spending a small fortune, not saving…

Your damn right I am, and enjoying it

That's what this site is about

  • Yeah only worth buying if you have a specific place to use it or the 99c deal

  • I saw there are special promo $20 off and $50 on the actual website, can this be stacked with this cashback?
    https://www.entertainment.com.au/current-promotion

    • No, doesn't stack.

  • I'm in Camberwell, Victoria and very happy with the Entertainment Book offers. I got the 2 x $1 deals and will actually consider getting it again at a higher price. Only been to two places so far but already saved $66 according to the app,

    • Where pls?

Well for me we have so far used it in Collective Expresso, Din Tai Fung and San Churro.
Looking at the restaurants my wife has flagged as favourites, it looks like we will be going to:
        - Soda Rock (USA sthemed restaurant)
        - Time Out (some cafe)
        - Bottega (European restaurant)
        - Le Petit Gateau (cake shop)
        - TGI Friday
        - Rochford Wines
        - Taxi Kitchen
        - Bistro Guillaume
        - Mr Hive
        - Collins Kitchen
        - Merrywell Bar and Dining
        - Friends of Mine
        - Porgie and Mr Jones
        - Vapiano
        - Osteris 20
Just realised there are a lot more in her list so giving up now.

      I'm in Camberwell, Victoria

Only 1 restaurant and 2 cafes accept it in Camberwell.

Subway used to be listed, but they refused to accept the coupon in the app.

There used to be at least half a dozen restaurants accepting it in Camberwell a few years back.

      • One Thai in Balwyn is one I use it for consistently, any one else have recommendations?

        • That's pretty much in Mont Albert.

Hardly anything in Kew, Nth Balwyn, Camberwell. There used to be heaps.
Only a few left in Hawthorn too…

They also keep listing lots of places that have been closed for ages.
eg. Kew YMCA has been closed for about 4 years, but they are still listed for a free visit…

          • @jv: Good old marketing bait and switch

Thanks OP. Still a good deal but yet to track.

    • Still not tracked. 6 days and counting. Anyone got tracked?

      • CR site says 1-7 days, you might need to open a case with CR in the coming day

  • Says ineligible for membership that contributes to a fundraiser. Well all options do that!

There are certain fundraisers that buy into E books, and on-sell them. If you don't select any fundraiser, or use any fundraiser-initiated-links, it should be ok
